I'm thinking of building a PVM WW/Thrower Hybrid. The throwing part sure might be nice against Oblivion/unleechable monsters, especially for "backstabbing" throwing after having casted howl. Not to mention the dream bonus to WW a thrown lacerator can give.

Berzerk in my opinion is not a good way to deal with swarms of Oblivion/PI monsters.

Even so, I'm still not sure if this would be viable. Please make comments/improvements/corrections.

Skills:
20 WW, 20 AxeMast, 20 ThrowMast, 20 BO, 10 DoubleSwing, 1 point into Double Throw, prereq's, stamina, speed, iron skin, nat resist. Finished at around level 94, having done all skill quests. If leveling beyond this, I would place more into double swing.

Tentative Equipment: Grief Beast, 2 Eth Lacerators on Switch (or possibly 1 Lacerator 1 Rare with Fools mod), Guills Face (40/15), Highlords, Laying of Hands, COH, Verdungo or mabye Razortail, Ravenfrost, BK or rare LL, AR, resist. Demon Limb for enchant bonus to AR if necessary.

Charms: AR/Life/Resists as needed.

Merc: Might/Obedience

I believe this set-up gives 12.5 attacks/second WW, and 5 attacks/second double throw.

Stats: He'll have somewhat lower defense/DR so I suppose a good amount should go into vitality. However I still would like to get away with 200 into Str and Dex, and only 175 into Vitality. But maybe 300/100/175 might be better? I'm not sure.

Comments, improvements, corrections are entirely appreciated. Thank you for your time and expertise.

Oops, forgot to write that I'll put 1 point into Double Throw so I added that, thanks.

I'm hoping that additional points into Double Throw won't be necessary (each additional hard point grants 10% bonus to AR; sadly no damage boost), and that demon limb might solve any AR problems.

Remember that he'll have up to 200 into Dex, and also that it becomes easier as you level to hit monsters that are below your level.

If that is not enough maybe swap an eth lacerator for a nice rare throwing axe with the "fool's" mod on it?
