I was looking for a BVB guide but cant seem to find one anywhere unless i over looked it .

just wondering whats optimal to use and what skills to max etc .
just overall gear setup should look like with charms and what to socket in arreats/SS . some help or a link to a guide would be great .
I know enough about the weps after reading riktaker's HUGE in depth analysis of BVB fort vs Duress + wep setups(crazy knowledge) :)

Thanks for any input.

also this barb will be all bvb and very lil bva .

hmm look in the barb section and u should find a BvB guide.

Here is some equipment u will need for a BvB setup;

Arreat face helm
angelic amu+ 2x agelic ring
Forti armour/ Possibly Stone
Verdungos Belt
Gore Riders
Dracul gloves
Grief/BOTD
Storm shield

Thats a typical BvB setup

For a BvA style setup u need;

Arreat face helm /possibly a CoA
angelic amu+ 2x agelic ring/ highlords amu + 2 ravens vs casters
Enigma vs Casters/ forti vs mele
Verdungos Belt
Gore Riders
Dracul gloves
Grief/BOTD
Beast

The best material to socket ur helm with are the following;

40%ed 15ias jewel
40%ed 9 str jewel
Plain 40% ed jewel possibly with secondary mod like health etc
Shael rune for hit recovery
ruby or Jah for life
Um for res if ur lacking

For shield;

40%ed 9 str jewel
Plain 40% ed jewel possibly with secondary mod like health etc
Um rune

charms wise depending on wheither ur ladder or not and what u can afford, the best charms to get are maxdmg/ar/life sc or grand charms.
If u cannot afford them look for charms with life and ar small charms or life sc with secondary mods like res or charms with maxdmg/and ar.

for a BvB build, i think building towards a crazy a** open wounds build is pretty good. utilising sudden WW-shaves and leaping helps too.

too many bvbs out there using grief though, so be careful.

Fury is a good BvB weapon.

How to win all bvb duels : be richer than the other guy, and ww him about 1000 times. :smiley:

Or you could be mean and use teleport+widowmaker to Slowly kill. Might want to consider building for widow if you Really want to beat other barbs, although they will cry long and hard about it.

Skills:
1 faster run
1 natural res
20 mastery
20 ww
20 BO
20 shout
1x iron skin (rest)

other good things apart from the ones mentioned above:
weapon: death cleaver (if eth zoded, if normal with a 40ed/15max jewel, or just um it)... a beast alone would be too weak, but you would hit more, so if you max ow it's good.
armor: av2 (1450 def or close) or perf dures in a nice elite armor.
gloves: steelrends with 55-60ed and 18-20 str, althougt draks are still better, depends on the rest of the setup.
boots: wat travs are good for the dmg and stats, but gore are best

Socketing:
yeah, I put a 40/9str jewel in my arreat and a ed/dex jewel in my ss.
ith runes do wonders in bvb duels.
ed/ias jewels suck, as they dont efect WW speed...

About charms:
warcry skillers with 3x-40 life are very good.
passive mastery skillers with 3x-40 life are possibly even better.
max/ar/life charms are best, but not everyone is rich and can afford things like that. lc like that are also good and cheap as people usualy only buy sc or gc (don't know why realy)
20 life sc with mods like:
def (oh yes baby)
ar (why not)
cold dmg (not realy good, but can be nice)

I would still consider Fury - not so expensive and proven to be very, very effective damage-vs-time wise somewhere on these forums.

I would also choose eth glitched duress or stone over Arky.

EDIT: If warcry skillers are with really high life (~40) then it's worth it. Otherwise go for even plain 20 lifers, 3 like that = more life than +1lvl of BO.

I know that, that's why I wrote about the hight life, still bo skillers provide def, so even if they give slightly less life it may by worth it on high-def builds (stone and so on)

Fury is very good, but I didn't mention it because you already posted it above. Dmg is low but the OW is godly. But then using draks + duress is overkill. Depends what other items you can get. (Well, if you have fure you can afford all the rest...)

In my experiense a 180ed arky > stone (even a 21xx def stone), but duress is probably best anyway, again it depends on the rest of gear (how much def you want to have, charms, weapon of choice etc)

Yeah, duress+gores+dracs+fury is a bit too much =)

thanks for the hlpe guys .

I plan on uising 2 weps

1- grief zerker(35ias +380dmg)
2- fury zerker
Also have 2 armours.

1- 15% sup sacred 1908 def fort
2- arch duress ( need sacred/laquered duress)

upped eth arreats 541 def

dracs|gores|15 dr dungo| angelic setup| SS|

my charms are Anni+Torch 9x 1xx ar + / 30+ life gcs
and the rest are 20life sc with some ar mods

Is this a good setup?
should i scrap the high str amours and arreats for more life?
basically not to sure about more def or like 500-1k more life.

thanks.

More life is almost always worth it, particulary on bvb. Life gets Much better returns than damage or defense.

Did they ever fix the eth armor socketing bug online? If not, eth bugged Duress/Fortitude archons can get well over 3000 defense and the 30 durability on the archon would last quite a while too if used only for PvP.
