Farewell friends....... after playing D2 for 5 years, spending countless hours, effort and energy, accumulating significant D2 wealth and building dozens of pvp characters I decided its time to end the obsession. The last straw was loosing with my decked out lev 89 windy to a lowly bowa, 10 levels lower than me. I finally had to admit to myself that I basically suck at pvp and while I had above average success with some of my chars overall I lacked the dexterity and probably connection to be truly great. I made "free stuff" game and gave away all my gear bringing in all my mules and characters one by one and dropping items on the ground. 8 torches, 6 annis, pally skill charms w life, permed 3/20s, 5 enigmas, godly windy pelt, on and on, on and on. And it felt good to realize that I am dropping nothing but pixels which have no meaning outside this game and the bonds are broken. I deleated all the characters. Time to look for another obsession after some rest. I have been on these boards under a few names for 4 years and have enjoyed my time here. Thank you all. Good bye.

Congrats !!!!
Must admit that I'm addicted to this game too. Have stoped 2 times and restarted 2 times. But overall I manage no to play more than 2h per day and I'm ok with that (I know that one day I'll stop it anyway, when I'll get more busy).
Diablo is not the worth game for that. Blizzard have made even more terrible people killer - WoW. I've seen people driving completely mad of playing this game almost 18h a day 7 days a week. They dont eat, dont speak (or if U ask something U will not understand the answer anyway. I think they got halucination too), they loose job, family, friends - almost like alcoholism or dependence of Casino games.
If U dont feel like strong enough, never start playing that game !!
Btw, I would like to know people opinion about, how many hours per day they play D2.

Guild wars laggs on my computer....don't play it, jk. Go bye to d2 then
:) On the average past few years, 8 hours straight followed by on and off 5 min MF run (which never really worked out to be 5 min). And this was everyday... lol...
This year, cos the work got heavier, I got "delivered". Now, about once every few days and it usually lasts 4-5 hrs (not HRs). ;)
d2 can be really old now.
