View Full Version : Which char to beat smiters?

I've been lurking around in some public pvp games, and I see smiters everywhere. So my question is quite simple: Which character build is best suited to destroy smiters?

I'd have to go with bone nec or hammerdin. Most casters or a good ww barb will work, but nec and hammerdin work best.

yea, i rip through smiters with my bone necro. It's easy without prison, but if u want to totally own them, just throw on prison lol. Most have fort, but if he does have nigma and if he decides to tele smite you, just throw up a row of spirits the second after you prison him, he will teleport on top of you than the row will just kind of impale him and he dies instantly lol.

even better: Bone Necro with clay golem, doom & decrep. That should about make the smiter worthless.

I have smiter :P.
I just duel something similar. It was ww barb with dual Doom. His name was smiter killer and I think it was quite correct, coz my attack speed was something like 1 hit in 2 sec !! lol. But I took him down anyway :P, coz my build is V/T, so I just drop 3 Foh's and he straight run to complain to Akara.

Also ES/light sorc with Griffon + Crescent Moon takes them down with 1-2 hits, if they dont use some nasty auras like salvation or light res.

But best is already mention: Bone Necro, Hammer and just to add Blizzard sorc.

i find that hammerdins can get killed by smiters lol, even when spamming a hammerfield.

i don't know how the ever charged thru the hammerfield to ever smite my hammerdin to oblivion lol.

but a pure foher or a really really godly orber or lite sorc might kill pro smiters :)

A truly good smiter will be able to negate any elemental char with ease, but yeah, in general casters are good at killing equally geared/played smiters.

I usually don't have problems with them using my blizzer. If they sorb/stack me they're usually weak against everyone else, so I just dodge them till they get tired of being pwnt by the zon spamming arrows from town. That, or I get my nec :smiley: .

hmm i have a quite an easy time killing most smiters with BvC and BvA but the best chars are bone necs and Windy druids i think.

I would not say hammerdin 100% coz i have seen a quite alot of smiters own hammerdins with chargelock, smite. If the hammerdin dsyncs then yes it will win but if it can't it is almost gg always for the smiter.
