Low lvl Rune word Question

I'm not exactly new, I have a lot of low lvl runes. The highest iv'e had is gul. My problem is, what can I do with all these things?!!?(Aside from make another lemon fresh pledge) Are there any low lvl rune words that are usefull? What would you recommend?

What character / difficulty are you playing? It will help with the reccomendations.

I have jus created a table of runewords, ranked from cheapest to most expensive. Trouble is it is in PDF / Excel format, so I need to PM a Mod for how to post it.

Anyway, a few cheap to mid range runewords:
Insight - Merc Polearm for casters
Obedience - Merc Polearm, 40% Crushing blow for boss killing.
Strength - Any melee weapon, 25% Crushing blow
Lore - Helm, +1 skills
Spirit - 4 sockets swords or shield - both on a caster is awesome.
Smoke - 2 socket armour, 50% resistance.

Lionheart - tons of useful mods (Hel Lum Fal)
Honor - Good for low merc (Amn El Ith Tir Sol)

are nice too. Depends on up to which rune you call it low lvl... never found a Gul, best i had was Mal.

sounds like you use at least one melee class char- try an Oath in a ethereal weaon, like small crescent, bezerker axe, ettin axe, collosus sword/blade, etc. the runewords costs a mal+pul, but it provides indestructibility, up to 385% edmg, along with some other sweet mods..

Rhyme (shield) - ShaelEth

The first runewords I make in each season.

BTW, as you have a Gul rune, it might be important to know if you play on ladder. If yes, you can wait for another Gul and upgrade it to Vex, else you are stuck with it and make Kingslayer or Fury. You just need a Jah rune for the latter :rolleyes:

Black (ThulIoNef): 40% Crushing Blow, fast attack, Corpse Explosion charges. One of my favourites.

Passion (DolOrtEldLem): big damage, fast attack, crowd control, Zeal and Berserk in one neat package.

White (DolIo): Lots of goodies for a summon/Bone necro.



My suggestions are in the range of what others have written here.

My definition of which runes are "high" and "low" is quite different from what most players seem to think:

Low: Ith and lower
Mid: Tal to Dol (here are all the useful ones for most cube recipes)
High: Hel and above

Wow Cool answers, just what I was looking for, thanks. I play non ladder Europe and have at least one of every character except Necro (Played off-line). After I found out how important runes were I starded collecting. Now I have a tone of them. Never got anything close to Breath of the Dying or HoTo like some people have. I'll try some of the recipes that you suggested on my new Metorb sorc.

guls have no value and are very hard to trade off on any realm so best choice with a gul would be a fury but u'll still need a jah for that.
otherwise if ladder, if u save up a bit more, death is also a very powerful runeword for only 1 HR.

Also, a great shield for a sorc, runeword "spirit" Tal thul ort amn, can be made in weopon also.
