I have a major problem.
I played DII this morning for a little while, stopping at 1:30. I left to go Barnes n Noble and I bought a book my girlfriend wanted for her and then I did some writing on my laptop there in the cafe. I came home around 5 and all of a sudden DII won't open. It always prompts me to insert the disc when it's already in. Also, under My Computer it shows that the drive is empy. The exact error is when I go "Start>Run>D:"...
Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.
... The funny thing is that at first I thought it was a hardware problem, that maybe my laser was messed up and I'd need a new cd drive, however, my computer will play any audio CD I put in, as well as any other game or DVD. It's only my DII disc that doesn't work, and I have tried the one copy I own and two copies my room mate owns, so it isn't the actual disc that's causing a problem, as all three work in his computer just fine and dandy.
So far I have updated all the drivers and anything like that, so everything is up to date. I have looked online for guidance for hours, but to no avail. Also, I went online looking for an ISO torrent, but the only ones I could find had one person seeding and didn't start dowloading at all. I'm afraid my only solution would be to get MPQs from someone over an FTP or something, as I attempted to set up a network with my room mate, even to the point where I had to set up remote assistance with a very computer savy friend who couldn't help either. Would anyone be willing to help me get MPQs or an ISO over an FTP or something?
Thanks for any insight,
Lucky
