Ok, I've been looking for a 3os 40+ Sacred Rondache/Targe for awhile now. I was wondering what people might think about using this 3os 45res def 145 Protector Shield.
Now, before you say anything, I don't plan on smiting, so that's not a concern. I also already have 13 with +skills to holy shield, so I think the blocking's taken care of. Have I missed anything? Do you think I should go for it? I have a feeling I won't be able to find that shield soon... .the Diablo gods are laughing at me

Extremely good 3 socket Paladin shields = Very, Very Rare.

Basically, the very nice elite paladin shields you find are incredibly expensive to trade for, and often are either zero sockets, or 4 sockets. The 3 socket genre is just so hard to find, and often times, expensive to try to create yourself in the cube (nothing like cubing a nice 45 res elite shield and getting 1x socket).

So personally, since it's just dream and not an exile, go for it! Dream isn't about defense anyways. It's just about having a good blocking shield and the resists. I would say go for it.

Cheers!

Well, I took your advice and made it in the Protector. Not a bad roll: 17res, 13mf, 29fhr. Those're the ones I was worried about. I think it ended up defense-wise in the 380s. I'm happy with it. Thanks for the help.
