Note:I have no problems with using revive stack/bone wall/decrep/prison in duels. I subscribe to the everything is fair game if it is in the game theory. Though I can say I never NK because it's not nice, I wouldn't complain about it - just quit and rejoin.

I would like to hear your views on skill selections, which one of the below do you think would be better (or your own variant) (lvl 99, 110 skill 'points')

Recall that Max bone skills + synergies 102 points (preq included)

1) Max Bone + decrep (and preq)
2) Max bone + revive (and preq)
3) Revive + decrep + not maxed Bone wall/Prison (only have 110 points :()

I suggest you check the stickies for the pvp bone guide by soulesschild...it would answer most if not all your questions. Or if your going bone/summons...then check out the one by dracoy.

For max bone damage skill wise...you need to have teeth/bone wall/bone prison/bone spear/and bone spirit all maxxed...then you get your curses up to decrepify...and lastly get gumby/golem mastery/summon resist. Obviously only one point in the curses/gumby/golem mastery/and summon resist.

i'd say....screw curses...just find urself a nice necro-head with the curses on it u need, with 2 socket, make Splendor in it, and keep it on switch

yeah. DO NOT use amp dmg. use decryptify instead ;), and lots of minions if possible.

boneprison is a plus too. decrypt enemies, namelock-prison them, name-lock tele on them, namelock spear and let your minions run them down.

but imprisoning people can be considered BM too though.

for a pure PvP boner, no revives and no minions cept gumby. max bone wall, prison, spear, teeth, and spirit. 1 in armor, 1 in CE (prereq), 1 in all curses up to decrep for prereqs, 1 golem mast, summon res, gumby

I realise that maxing all bone would give you a higher damage.

I have read soulesschild's guide, old and recent, and spoken to him, and I know his position because he is not a fan of revive stack.

The issue is more that if one has no issues with using revive stacking etc. for dueling, would you prefer to have revive (and thus clay gol) + decrep but lower bone damage, or just revive no decrep + full bone damage, or decrep + golem but no revive stack and full bone damage.

The above can effectively be summarised as damage vs versatility, and the issue becomes how much damage you are sacrificing, and is the versatility worth it, and which to get --> revive/decrep or both if you want the versatility.

Edit: in my original post, the "others" included the option of the shield, but i was also thinking of using a +3 spear + revive etc wand for making white in stash. White replacing hoto/wiz vs. a -2 level BC//BO (splendor shield on switch)?, the shield would not help with revives, only decrep.

I would say max bone>revives cause revives aren't that useful except a choice few classes:
BvC just ww through revives
Light/e-shield orb/f-ball sorc missles simply go through revives or explode
trapsins lightning goes through revives
wwsin same as BvC
BvB same as BvC
Rabies psn spreads
psn nec same as Rabies more or less
plague javazon same as Rabies more or less
javazon cs will hit you. still an ez duel w/ or w/out revives
kicksin explosion

Works against:
single target meleers (smiter, zealot of any kind(soso cause they attack more than once), v/t (although FoH might get you once in a while), fury druid (like zealots, pure foh (again just like v/t), and chargadins)and bowazons (although multi-shot is still an issue)

50-50 against
Wind Druids-blocks tornadoes in a way but hurricane still cuts
Auradins-blocks the main charge damage but still tough to hit and auras still damage
bone necs-blocks b-spirit, smart ones will b-spear+teeth

Pros:
secondary shield against above stated

cons:
continuous revivng takes time+effort every time you die
not effective against many cookiecutter builds
-bone damage
