Hi there; I've got a few basic questions . . .

(1) I just found out that you can do a "/w *username" at the chat menu to whisper to an account name even if that account name is in a game. Can you also do a "/w *username" while in the game by hitting enter and typing the aforementioned in the box, even if the user isn't in your game?

(2) How can I tell if a username is online?

(3) Can I scroll back to read my prior messages while in the game? I noticed that it only displays two lines at a time. . . I tried finding this in the battle.net help, which was very unhelpful.

(4) How do I change the "Realm: No longer play" identifier on the left next to my message?

Thanks!

1. Yes
2. Add the account to your friend list then type /f l. It will show if the person is online or off. You could also just try to whisper the person by using the command /w *account or /m charname. If it says you can't message this person, then he's not online.
3. Press "M" to display the message log
4. Go to User CP. Then go to Edit Profile. It should be on the bottom.

1. Yes
2. If they are on your friends list, you can type /f list, or something like that. It's been a long time since I played anything other than SP.
3. Yes, hit the small control panel at the bottom center of your screen. One of the boxes you select will show all messages that game.
4. You should be able to click on the thing at the upper left titled "User CP" for "User Control Panel."

Cheers!

W.r.t to (2), if you don't want to add the person to your friend list, you can type /whois *account_name to know if he/she is online.

or you can just try to whisper to them and it'll tell you if they aren't online...if they are, they'll get your message ;-)
