Damage red. vs. damage goes to mana...

Greetings,

I think I am unclear (perhaps) on what "x% damage taken goes to mana" means. I had thought it meant that instead of taking that x% you gain that much mana instead. I've recently thought of two other options: 1) perhaps you still take the damage, but you also gain that much mana, or 2) perhpas instead of taking the damage you LOSE that much mana.

Anyone know?

u will take the dmg but u will gain that certain % back to mana so if u take 100 hitpoints of dmg and u have a item that has 15% goes to mana, then u will gain 15mana.
so 1) is right from ur choices.

FYI: Mana shield causes damage taken to lose mana. Damage to mana gives x points of mana back to the energy pool.

But the mana gained is calculated from the actual dmg dealt to your life bulb, so it's not useful for high Slvls of Energy Shield.
