Sanctuary Aura

Are there any builds that incorporate the Sanctuary Aura from the Paladin (as in actually spending points in the skill, not using Azurewrath or something like that)?

Also, what is this Sanctuary Bug i keep hearing about? How does it affect the playing style of a Sanctuary Paladin?

This is this build called "Undead Hunter" who uses sanctuary aura, however this is a fun build and thus not suitable for general game playing.

The bug in Sanctuary is that the ed% vs undead doesn't work. There's a hidden feature of this aura which sorta makes up for that: when active the physical resistance of undead is ignored for the person using the aura.

On the other hand a cleric is way more effective undead killer,with his holy bolt. If you really really want sanctuary aura,make a zealot,preferaby a fanatic one (or cold,light one) and give him azurewrath...

Sanctuary only effects the undead, and even then, only non-boss undead type stuff. Meaning, it's pretty limited. Plus it's bugged, and doesn't even work properly. It does rather poor damage, regardless of what the numbers say. The only thing that actually works with the aura, is that the pulse damage does actually work and it does knock back undead (albeit pathetically low damage).

For a level 24 Aura, it's really a shame, because I can't think of a more useless Aura, even though I myself really like this Aura simply because it's a lvl 24 aura but seemingly has no use. There are other auras that are terrible really, but at least they work the way they're supposed to. If Sanctuary worked, perhaps it would be viable for an undead slayer, but otherwise, it's just something pretty to look at.

If you want to use Sanctuary, I'd suggest you max Cleanse. Then make a "Law Bringer" runeword scepter for the Sanctuary built into it. Then afford yourself a 2nd Aura. Then you can at least use two auras to do something, rather than just Sanctuary and you will have it synergized.

So, the information on arreat summit is strange about sanctuary. Does it allow the person using the aura to leech from undead? If so that could be very useful.
