Should I rebuild my Bonemancer

I was up late lvling two nights ago and dropped 5 points into CE thinking it was Teeth. Guess I was tired :rolleyes:

Anyways here is my current set-up

Helm: Shako
Armour: Enigma
Weapon: Hoto
Glooves: Rare (meaning to switch over mage fists)
Boots: Rares, not sure what to replace them with
belt: rare (need to trade for arach)
Ammy: looking for rare +2 PnB 20 fcr or +3 PnB some other mod
rings: 2 rare 10 fcr rings. Will change to others once I have other fcr equipment.

Given my current set-up should I remake my necro. I have maxed BS, Bspirit, Teeth (almost) and will max Bone prison, then put the rest of my points into Bone wall. Although I have 5 points that I will never get back and that is the reason I'm considering remaking. I'm only lvl 68 right now.

It's not like levelling is a major issue in D2, so if anything turned out bad I was happy to have mid/high-level mule in addition to the army of lowlevel mules :-)

For Belt, try a crafted belt with 10% FCR (or whatever is good for you) and some good mods. And for Boots, try +65 Life Waterwalk if you are going for max block, or Trek if you aren't.

Rebuild it, unless the 5 points are in useful alternatives (Decrypt & syn., Golem etc.)

Ya, for melee duels the boot switch to waterwalks for that helpful 15 dex seems in reaching max block is worth the switch IMO, I am rebuilding my necro in 1.11 now that I have come back to my boner (one of my all time favorites) and do not like using all those godly duped boots out their. It was sad to see those dupes starting to show up on ladder grrrr.

Rebuilding is easy and the 5 points is a lot waisted seeing that you must reach lvl 92 to max bone skills and synergies & then get to 96 if you want max bone skills and also decrep.

Well now that I've decided to rebuild my necro should I go for the Max block route or should I make a Vita necro. I'm thinking vita necro as I already have dmg reduction from Bone shield. Then I can use Spirit with my set up in order to reach 125 fcr. To do this I would need to use the following equipment.

Shako - wealth tied up in other areas so can't get a +2 FCR tiara right now
Hoto - 40 fcr
Enigma
Perf Spirit - 35 fcr
Mage fists - 20 fcr
Arachs - 20 fcr
Then I either need a 10 fcr ring (have an nice one with +50 mana) or some fcr on my ammy.

This with 5 PnB skillers (none with life sadly) and a torch.

Does this look like a good set-up?

Actually IMO:

Go max block if you are doing any PVP (pub-all around), all vita if PVM and only PVP vs. sorcy's/casters in general but not all casters.

With the loss of the marrow bug and the huge added synergy to BA now BA only reaches roughly 800ish and that is a somewhat noticable loss over the previous amount, etc. A barb if he lands a tele with grief (vita build) will rip you apart easily even with BA. Also IMO I have tested and found that SS and the PDR it offers with BA is huge over homo with no PDR. Just my testing, anyone else finding the same conclusion?

As for the difference in life: Pure vita (my old one last ladder with marrow bug, etc. was in the 3400 range. with block and great gear you will be in the 2000 - 2300 range (not sure since I am also remaking my boner since the loss of the marrow bug). The extra 1000 life for all around dueling is not, IMO, worth the extra life over the chance to block 75% of melee along with BA and 42-50% PDR.

This is just my opinion.

A vita build, however, will allow you to reach the 125% FCR with ease over the max block route since 30% & 35% FCR on shields eliminates the need for godly gear.

Max block and never look back.

I used to be all vita and with marrow bug it was great since your damage was huge and BA was also larger then it is now. Now I am back to going block for all around PVP dueling.
