Hi, I'm building an avanger following the guide on the strategy forum.
I've read about the stats but what is a 'regular' way to upgrade them? I don't know what kinda gear I'm gonna use so I don't know how much dexterty and strength I'm gonna need.
Right now I'm at level 21. The way I upgrade my stats is every time I level up:
- strength: 1
- dexterty: 1
- vitality: 3

Tips anyone?

Right now I'm level 22 and my stats are
st: 46
dx:44
vi:82
en:base

3 stats left.

How to go on? Save some stats? I realy don't know where to put it and I don't want to make big mistakes

does the guide not tell you where to place your stat points? (most do...)

Str: Enough to be abe to wear your equipment.
Dex: Enough for 75% blocking with max holy shield and your weapon+shield of choice.
Energy: None.
Vit: All the rest.

If you don't want to waste a single stat point, you need to know in advance which equipment you are going to use and how skills affect the whole. I for myself simply invest into stats to be able to equip my intermediate equipment without thinking too much about it. When leveling them, I have about 50-100 unspent stat points, so I'm very versatile with equipment. When my characters have their final gear, they often have too much str and dex, but I don't really care.

I think that Doefke is asking how to place the stats each level-up (like 2/2/1 or 1/1/3 etc).

there is no right way on how to place stats each time u lvl up. most guides will tell u how much u need if u follow the exact gear they suggest, otherwise u will have to calc it before hand.
usually what i do is get to hell with a lvl 1-4 char and do chaos runs, dont put a single stat point onto anything until i hit 75, have all my gear in my inventory and start to slowly put points into str just enough to wear everything.
then i do same to dex for max block or no block, then rest into vit.

Of course, if you have no gear, that doesn't work. I would say ~100 str, small amount in energy, and rest in vit for untwinked. If you are a class that normally blocks (like pally), sink in at least 100 dex, and leave yourself some unspent points so that you can use them if you have better equip.
