Smite and dmg vs demons

Hello!

I was wondering if +% damage vs. demons (like from Sazabi's sword or Laying of the Hands, or both) works with smite ?

Since I don't have all the elite stuff that are required for ubers (drac's, grief, so on so forth), I was thinking about partying up with a necro friend of mine, who could cast life tap and maybe have some summons to distract the attention of the minions while I smite the ubers.

Do you think this is viable ?

Yes it works. And for the necro idea I personally think that it would work since the minions can leech big off life tap, but anyways, you still need huge resists yourself cuz the ubers usually blast the whole area and you just might get hit by these lightning or fire or whatever.

And you don't need all those gears. :wink3: Just make sure you have sources of life-tap, crushing blow, OW, and massive resist. If there is anything that is somewhat necessary, it would be dracs, gores, and a ravenfrost. (ie. You don't need grief, CoH or what not) If you have a necro with you, he need to be able to tele to regroup his summon (so that he doesn't lure out all 4 ubers). Enigma is good for this, so is Naj's staff and Speel Steal.

Thx for the advice, i was hoping dmg vs demons works with smite but was not sure. As for gear, i was thinking about using Guardianangel and Stormshield (I already have them, not that I think they are better than CoH or HoZ) to attain 90% resists and 35% dmg reduction. I don't know where to get all that res though, as helm and boots are occupied by guillaume's and gore riders, and gloves by Laying of Hands and these items don't give much res if at all. I already have a pala in hell with 95/95/95/90 res to all, but that's with a Wizardspike, full Iratha and some charms. I wouldn't want to give up Sazabi's for wizzy.

Also thx AnimeCraze for the tip with tele, I guess that rules out a summoner necro, since we don't have so high stuff as enigmas (at least not yet, hehe). Maybe then a necro with life tap and poison dagger ? (as I hear all ubers regenerate life twice as fast)

I was wondering just how long does it take to kill the ubers without CB ? Is it worth giving up CB in order to get 90% effective resists and around 700% dmg to demons ?

I'm not too sure but I don't think %ED to demon actually work if it's on the weapon. Need experience members to confirm this.
