Please help my pvp smiter =(

My gear:
Level: 82
Helm: CoA Double ber
Armor: Archon Enigma
Weap: Grief Pb
Shield: non-up'ed HoZ
Ammy: Highlords
Rings: Ravenfrost/Ravenfrost(both perfect)
Belt: Verdungos
Boots: Gores
Gloves: Draculs
Switch: 4 bo/Spirit

Charms:9x pcombs(no mods worth telling ><) Perfect pally torch, perfect anni, a few 20 small lifers.

Well, the problem is i keep getting owned by hammerdins, sorcs, pnb necros, wind druids, and trapsins. Even when fighting other smiters i still lose. Theres no lag or anything, it just seems like he hits faster than me. Am i missing something here? I can afford anything, if theres any better gear for me to get, please let me know. I don't want to be cheap and get alot of sorb to kill the sorces, trappers. I just cant find any other way too win. Even on normal with like 90 fire resist(GA switched in) 1 FIREBALL or lightning kills me. Boom, im dead. It takes 2-3 charges and a few smites to kill them, its pretty annoying... Please any tips or new items or anything, please tell me. Thanks.

how much life do you have after bo?

for melee chars maybe you need to use angelics rings and amulet
do you have max res?

I don't really see any problem with your gears mon.... They are just fine for a godly pvp smiter except that highlord's is not the ammy you want here, its DS doesn't even work for smite and its other attributes are crappy. So dump the highlord's and get a mara's. Also something might be wrong with the way you duel. You can't just walk up to people and smack them, that'd be too easy. That's why they don't let you really reach them before you get killed. I have a godly smiter on asia ladder and he does pretty well with the following gears:
Um'd shako
Fortitude
Grief PB
Exile
Dracs
Dungo's
Eth treks
Ravenfrost
BK ring
Mara's
Anni/Torch, and 9*ombat/40-50 life gc's, and 10*resist all/life sc's.

Currently he has like 9.1k average smite damage, 43k defense, 4k life after BO, and maxed resists in hell. His skills are just as normal as it gets:
maxed smite
maxed holy shield
maxed fanaticism
maxed defiance
the rest are going into charge now

So basically I don't really have lots of trouble dueling against melee characters, with such a high smite damage, huge life, and life tap, I can mop the floor with any melee dueler on my realm. And against casters I use charge to kill them, since my charge damage is like 8.6k average it'd often be a 1 or 2 hit kill.

To me it looks like you're another spoiled rich kid who just doesn't know how to play the game. Have you ever even played the game through without a rush?

Damn mon all duelers are spoiled, otherwise how they get godly gears? So anyways how you win duels without good gears and stuff. Of course you can duel with mediocre gears but then prepare to get owned by godlies a lot. And hell yes I played without rushes, but it was indeed hard and I don't think anyone on earth would like it. And plz, I know how to play the game, if you have negative comments about people don't be so sure.

Highest life on a gc is 45. I agree with Yossarian, you can't ebay practice and knowledge.

No, it's 45.
50 life GCs can only drop from level 110 monsters (ie. DC and the Uber monsters), and we all know that they only drop Hellfire Torches, Annihilus, and SoHs.

Ok... Well... yeah...

You do not really need godly-godly items to duel effectively. I had a lot of success with a ww assassin with the following gear:

Chaos Suwayyha
Jade Talon
Andariel's Visage
Chains of Honour
Shadow Dancers
Nos Coil
Dracs
A crafted ammy with 20 all resist and 28 str
2 approx 18 dex ravens
9 plain Shad Gcs and a 12/14 sin torch.

Not really cheap, but not expensive at all either... I mean, in comparison, all of that is pretty cheap. I made the whole thing for 5-6 ists on ladder.

Anyway... that dueler aside, there is nothing really wrong with your smiter gear, it all looks fairly godly. Maybe your stat distribution is wrong... 1 fireball should not kill you. If you can afford gear as good as you have you should probably be able to get about 2.5k+ life at the very least. Maybe swap the enigma for a fort or a coh... You will lose str, but gain damage or resists, which will help you more. As said, swap the highlords for a rare or something of some sort. Good luck.

Try asking in the community forum how many people prefer playing the game to watching it fly by, and prepare to be surprised.

Unless my char will be completely unplayable to level 80+, like my ww sin dueler, I almost always walk my way through. Pain in the hide for chars like my orb/es sorc, who has to make due with ice bolt until level 30, but I'll manage - and when I hit level 30, I'm sailing through nm.
