Hey there fellow raisers of the dead,

I just made my first Fishymancer and based it on the guide that was posted by nightfish, an excellent guide. Im at lvl 86 now my skills are as follows:

Summoning Skills:
sm: 36
rs: 36
clay: 14
gm: 14
rm: 35
blood: 14
sr: 15
iron: 14
fire: 14
revive: 14

Poison:
teeth: 10
bone armor: 10
ce: 10

Curses:
amplify:12
im: 12
life tap: 12

My items are trang armor, trang belt, trang gloves, nat boots(looking for marrowalks), shako, homunculus, ammy +2summoning skills, some rings that add res, and a 15/17 hellfire charm.

I have 21 stat pts just sitting idle i want to know if it would be wise to put them into summon resist because i've found that when my char fought Uber Duriel and Uber Lilith my skellies were dying alot from poison and cold damage. The only way they survived was from life tap. So im not sure where to put the rest of my stats so can someone please give me some advice and maybe someone can give me a better tactic on how to take on the ubers. Thanks a bunch!

I'd say go for it. You can't really go wrong; too many more revives or mages and you'll never be able to get your army around anything :)

Welcome Newcomer to The Darkness. Grab a brew (http://www.lgl.bayern.de/de/left/fachinformationen/lebensmittel/warencodes/_images/bier.jpg) and feel free to raise some corpses.

Don’t do it. The diminishing returns on it kick in so hard and fast you’ll be wasting your skill points. Normally 1 point and some +skills will be enough. If you are really hurting for good equip you can boost it to about 5, but I wouldn’t put it past that.

I just noticed you haven't maxed CE.. I'd max that, first. Sorry :)

Yeah, there are diminishing returns, but where else are the points going to be useful? Does he really need more minions? I do fine in Hell with only 10 skellies, a few mages maybe, and 13 revives. He's got great + to skills, so his army is, to put it bluntly.. freaking buff. Besides CE, where are the points going to serve him any?

Why not wait until you come across something that might be worth spending your points over? Dumping the points randomly in Summon Resist won't do him any good. He won't even notice it. Later on he might find he wants to add something to another skill. Right now the points aren't doing any harm.

I'd highly reccomend putting one point in the curses, or at least decrepify and its pre-reqs. Although I haven't taken my summoner against the clones yet, decrepify is the skill to use against bosses. It paralyzes them in combination with your clay golem and cold mages.

Definetly don't max SR. Diminishing returns really own this skill.

You really want to max CE, though. I can't believe how many people underestimate the benefits of that. The wrong way to look at it is this: CE does 60-100% damage on level 1 and does 60-100% on level 20. The right way is this: The *area* CE covers increases better than linear. Meaning every additional level adds more coverage than the last, resulting in more monsters hit per blast and in faster killing overall as it is less likely that blasts fail to produce new corpses. Think of it as rings, each ring you add is larger than the last, even though the all span 0.3 yards.

Any excess points you have, dump them in golem mastery. Golems are pretty useful overall, iron if you have excess IK Mauls or something. Otherwise fire for questing and clay for bosses. Golems themselves don't need any points.
