Anyone play hardcore classic, or classic in general?
I personally think it gives a more equal dueling than xpac.

If anything but a Hammerdin or a Sorc could kill at 1/3 thier speed I would! I loved Classic but 1.10 destroyed Classic.
There are a few forum goers that were playing classic every now and then *cough* jugs/scotteh *cough* but I don't know how often they frequent classic anymore

i hate hc classic, after trying to make a light sorc, i was so used to LoD, that i was totally creamed by andy...no charms...no runes....NO JEWELS and NO CLASS SPECIFIC ITEMS, i was using a ****ing staff, NO ****ing resistances, goddam andy killed me in TWO ****ing hits, i was completely pissed off, worst of all, that same day, my friend lost his lvl 84 blizz sorc mfer, HOW was i surprised, he was trying to solo mf chaos, guess he didnt realzie HOW VULNERABLE he is w/out bo from a barb, and well....guess he went back to LoD after that...

A lot of other chars kill fine, its just that they cant solo in an 8 player cs game. The good side of classic is that there are no dupes and everyone uses different items, while everyone in lod uses the same shakos, maras, enigmas etc. So the item system in classic is more interesting.
There is no need to explain the ins and outs of Classic to me, I played it a hell of alot more than I ever did LOD. Nothing kills in CS but Sorcs and Hammerdins, it is the end game, it is the only way to progress after 80 or so. Season 1 I and Bird sat on the Top 5 until until my acct was stolen due to the password retreave exploit. Then I put another one in the top 10 and got bored with chassing Pallys around CS playing "dodge foes" and went to LOD.
1.10 killed Classic for many people, many die hard Classic players left Classic for LOD after S1 and many more retierd.
Frankly I think dueling died in 1.10 for Classic, it was hella fun in 1.09 Classic. I use to dual all those dupe or roll back users all the time, and dont kid yourself, there are dupes in Classic also.

I think you have a biased view on classic. Sure you can make a din and cs nonstop to get u high up on the ladder, but wheres the fun in that? Classic is great for mld in nm, where characters that would in general get destroyed in hell games can have a blast.
I also disagree with you that only sorcs and dins can kill fast enough, personally i have been in many a cs run with no sorc or din! With bo, characters like lightning zons and poison necs can easily solo the place.
And you dont HAVE to cs for exp until 88 or so, you can easily get to 88 with a barb by running flayer//trav//river of flame in big games.

Well sure, with no Sorcs or Hammerdins, or with no BO I could lead a group thru CS wiht my Skellys, and sure a Java and a Poison Necro can indeed kill in there but solo play means nothing to me, I like the party play and it is wasted in 1.10. Several things can "kill" but they kill virtually nothing unless you refuse to allow Sorcs and Hammers in. Common, read the post I didnt say that NOTHING but Sorcs and Hammers can kill.....
I quested complete all my characters, built so many flails and staves it isnt funny, I know exactly how Classic is and how it is on nearly every reasonable build. I see little fun in a build that kicks *** in NM and cant do squat in Hell. I have made Bowazons of all flavors, Pallys of many, Barbs, Necros and a couple Sorcs, took them all thru the game completely I know exactly what these builds can and cant do.

I agree with you. Pvm, of course. For pvp its obviously diffirent.

yea i love classic hc, currently on useast, but i'm thinking of starting new once again on europe, europe classic hc is far busier than any other realm
not sure why, but it's kinda hard to start over considering i just started over like 4 days ago on useast and have been doing alright for myself
anyone else interested in starting new? if i could get a group and a nice clan going, i'd make the switch, *jestevam, *jestevamhc on USEast
anyone interested?
