If i view threads at my home pc then come to work using the same kiwi legend log in, will the database realise that I have already viewed them and not give off the bright orange (un-read look) for the thread?. Or is it based on IP address?

As long as you use same log in it recognises what've you've read.

I've used a mixture of my home pc, my uni's, my girlfriends, and more, and it all works fine.

As an example. this morning i checked the site at home and left a bunch of threads unread. At work there is no new threads to read, even though I know for a fact I havent read soom of them, annoying to sift through threads to check if you've read the latest msg's or not.

Yes, Kiwi, I have noticed the same thing. The system remembers that you logged in but it does not realize which threads you have not read once you log out and then in again. It just remembers what time you logged out and calls posts made after that "new".

ok fair enough. Ill just have to read all threads of interest each time i log in, or just sift through the dull coloured threads
