I am not a new player, but starting out after a lapse with all new accts, so either I should know better, or you will just have to excuse me as 500 trips through A2 are plenty for me.
Like many public game players (as opposed to people who only play with friends in passworded private games), I will be plugging along in some act, and a higher level pops in and asks if we want help, or just parties and says TP for X is up. Its called a rush, or being rushed.
Generally I avoid rush games, because if you are level 25 once normal Baal quest is done, all you can see in join games are NM difficulty, and those are too hard.
If you mix in enough cow and baal run games though, you and even your merc can level enough to match the difficulty. The result though is like me now, 72 summoner wearing pretty much the same gear I had in A2 normal, but playing in Hell difficulty baal games.
The upside to doing this is obvious, skipped lots of stuff that can be very slow and non fun frustrating, and shortly I will have this necro working hard to make life easy for my other chars, MFing etc.
Downside is that the char is a total contortion, almost impossible to solo, and NM is where he should 'really' be playing, but I can't see any game names without using a second char and swapping to join.
Point is, think about what you want a char to do, before you find yourself in Hell and unable to play.

Then just make a game in the level you want to play and maybe people will jion up with you. Thats what I do when I wanted to do baal runs in normal when I'm in NM, and baal runs in nm when I'm in hell. But I must say it dose suck when you look for those kick *** games like I'm leaving and giving away all my tight a$$ $hit so come get it for free. LOL
:jig:
It's not hard to get medium to average gear just off trading simple items like Ral runes or perfect gems in bulk. I've gotten many decent & very usable items off trading just those simple & easy to collect items.

Errr... if the only problem is not seeing the games then why not
1) Get rushed to A5 and don't kill baal?
2) G-Rush and just do a couple of chaos runs naked until your level 70 at which point you can survive easily in hell difficulty.

What I did last time I played...and going to do once again now that I've been back for a about a month now...is rush myself on my 2nd computer just to get to do forges...then delete the character and start over. Since it takes only 2 days... taking time to get a character to level 50...then self rushing hell for forge.
There are times where I would have a high character say level 67 still in nm...that would join a act1 game just to help out...but not rush. Some people would make a comment just because I give them te dark wp...then proclaim that they don't want a rush.
Well...a "rush" is where you go after the act ending bosses only...and do what has to be done to get to them as quickly as possible. Some people confuse kindness for a rush...and unfortantly there are not many kind people online. Those that are...are far and few in between.

My two word mantra for taking a rush if I can is "Summoner/maggotlair" without teleport that can so stink, the worst downside of being rushed doesn't come close. If you are already an experienced player. People who rush friends new to the game, kind of ruin it for them.
Best Hellforge rush is 3 players, all dual logged. 5 drones, 2 powerleveling chars, and a level 20 to enable ancients. If planned well and experienced people doing the rushing, and "obedient" drones that pay attention at least for act changes, in less than 2hrs you can do 6x hell forge drops and other than coordination of time etc. it isn't much more work than doing just one char. My team the rule was all the rune drops go into a pool for an even 3 way split.

there's something wrong with that, i've been trying to get 5 chars rushed trough act5 normal/nm but even with a lvl 20/40+ its not an option, i think you mean, just make them stay in town while killing baal and you'll get the quest and move on

That's what he is saying & that's what works. As long as there is a person in worldstone chamber who is partied that needs quest when baal is killed, then evetyone in town with the quest also available will get it also.

Whether you like it or not, BOTH of my top chars got Baal quest accidently when I doddled around in town after a baal run (typical is kill minions and split to next game, but I stopped in town to revive merc or sell off some junk).
The key really is that you need a team, that KNOWS the logistics so a lot of time isn't wasted figuring out each step or recoverying from mistakes.
