So basically a long time ago back in .09 we had a little thing called Itchy and Scratchy Fight Club. Last season I made a tourney in the style of ISFC. So basically I want to remake the tourney for some fun. It would be on USEast (since I'm too lazy to get items and have my items on east).
So this tourney is like this:
Lvl 20 character, any build any class. Norm pa'd.
Items no jewels/charms everything else allowed.
2 characters allowed per person (different builds)
Everyone gets 1 belt of potions of whatever mix they want.
2 duel until 1 dies/gives up
NO shrines/wells/running away for half an hour.
The basics: If you enter 2 chars they get put into separate branches, only 1 char will be randomly integrated. Randomly selected fights (each person with 2 chars will specify before setting up tourney which 1 is a/b 1/2 or w/e you want to say. Fights usually last 5-10 minutes, original builds are fun/encouraged.
So my question is anyone interested (wouldn't take place for a few weeks in the shortest)

I just don't see an ISFC getting off the ground like .09
1) not enough demand
2) not enough variability in builds
3) conflicting schedules
4) i pwn the world and nobody wants to fight me
5) everyone and their mother will have a kicker
I mean if it happens great, and if there is some positive feedback i'll come back and duel a bit, i just dont see it happening. You got together one tournament a little while back, and that worked out ok, but there just wasnt enough people for a continuing "league." Good luck though.
Now i want to share some phil hellmuth comments from the wsop that aired on TSN tonight.

I move to ban tamer from any thread to do with pvp since all he knows is what helz and i have told him anyways so it would be redundant to allow him to speak.
I might be interested... it's been a long time since I played, and everything except my mf sorc expired, so I'm kinda starting from scratch, and I'm not sure I'll have the time. Mark me down as a possible...

Thanks Dahk, I may take you up on that. I'll be able to MF a decent amount of the stuff I'll need, maybe all of it, seeing how its no charms or jewels, but I'll give you a shout on anything I can't get my hands on, see if you've got a spare chillin around a mule.

been away for a few days and forgot to update it ;)
Anyways no mercs, rules are relatively straitforward. 2 people fight 1 either quits or dies.
And Aaron, not trying to make an isfc comeback, just once every so often have equal footing duels for fun.
Can probably get a few people doing this from xbananax that are not on forums and of course Phil would like to kick my *** again :cry:

Oh, I'm not half bad in these lld tournaments... I'd like to have my shot at anyone in them ;) Not to say I wont be beaten, it's more than likely I will, I just havent dueled some of you LLDers (that I know on bnet) in these settings. Horray for me being drunk.
understandable matt, but i've yet to see phil lose with a lld tournament or otherwise :) He's like some kind of mad scientist of builds.

How about 2 saturdays from now, the 25th (we can spar/practice if you want)?
Even though it takes like 2 hours to make a char from scratch max.

I've got one dueler up and pretty much ready to go (just gotta fill some sockets)... may possibly do another if I get bored. I have no idea if my build is any good, so I could use some sparring if anyone else has one ready. My dueler is on *Full_Circle, but I can usually be found on *Trebol or *Trebol2

If anyone wants to spar for fun before the tournament you can hit me up, or anyone can post to spar (its fun and gets you valuable experience, + with a pa/chanted lvling you can get a character done within a half hour).

If he was referring to me killing people in real life, then that is the truth (but not in the supermarkets!)
