That's a bit sad if its the greatest story you've ever read!
I remember reading the whole thing the first time it was posted. Some bits were quite entertaining. Also made me realise how MMO's work and how the game makers make their money by making you wait days to make things.

This is not good Oxy. Everything in moderation plz. Come back to D2 and gamble some unq amulets instead.

...If this were true, Vegas wouldn't exist.
We should pick a site and hold a diablo poker tourney....of course you all could just send your money to me since the tourney would be kind of redundant anyways.

Best.
Idea.
Ever.
well it wouldnt be too hard. i mean you just pick a random site, say www.pacificpoker.com (thats where i play, cheap plug), and make a demo (or play) money account since alot of diablo people are not of age. Everyone puts up say a mal rune or something, and we could break it down as winner takes all or top 3 pay outs etc. It would run on the honour system of course but i dont think that would be a problem within the forum.

i have no idea what 215s and 525s are.
or 7% ROI (although as soon as you expand ROI i'll probably say, "oh that makes sense")
i assume 8 tablin' means 8 tables at once.
valar: I don't play either, just tossin it up to make it diablo related. I really couldn't care less either way. I just want bragging rights :)

Am I the only one who feels really bad for HH? :(
Lucky
525 is the buyin for the tournament
ROI = return on investment
if my roi is 7% my profit is 0.07 * 8 * 525 = 294$/hr
figured ROI was return on investment but didn't want to sound like a tool and guess wrong. I also know that a statistically basing your poker winnings on an hourly basis is a tremendous way to sound like you make more than you do ;)
hell, the winner of this years WSOP is going to make 7 mil, for a weeks work thats a million a day. If they play for 8 hours, a day, than he is making $125 000/hr. Statistics are great :)
Those are some pretty steep buy ins though. I'm not a tournament player. I generally play 20/40 hold 'em or 10/20 Omaha 8 or H/L, not a huge NL fan
edit: just out of curiosity, what is your general prize pool for a $525 buy in? On my site i see $200 buy ins that only generate a 5k prize pot and would never enter a tournament for those odds. But those are daily tourneys, i know other sites have monthly tourneys with a 200k prize pot for $200. just curious what your avg one would be.
2nd edit: Sorry for hijacking the thread :)
damn, I was kidding. I play the 25+2 turbos, that's the buyin, 1st prize is 112$. it's just a STT SNG, not a tourney...
