Is this mod common?

I found a rare ring off nightmare Duriel and it had a mod which I recognize on weapons but had never seen on a piece of jewellery before. "Adds 3-4 Damage". I was a little bewildered as I'd never seen anything besides a weapon with this modification.

Is the mod on a ring more common than I think?
I don't even know what the official name for the addition mod on a ring is.
Anyone around here have rings or ammies with this?

I know rings can have minimum and maximum and this mod is just a combo of the two however I just found it odd to see.

"Adds 3-4 Damage" just mean that it has the mod that adds 3 to the min dmg (of measure) and the mod that adds 4 to the max dmg (of maiming).

When the +min dmg is less than the +max, the two mods are combined to say "Adds X-X Damage," like on the ring you found. If the +min dmg and +max dmg are the same, or if the +max dmg is greater, then you will see both the +min and +max dmg mods expicitly written out.

On rings the most +max dmg you can get is 4, while you can get up to +9 min dmg. Therefore, the odds are if you have +min and +max dmg on the same ring that the +min dmg will be atleast equal to the +max dmg, resulting in both mods being expressed separately.

But to answer your question, these types of rings are fairly uncommon, but I have found such rings before.

Its an ok ring. Look out for a 9 min 4 max 15 dex rare ring o.O Then make a pure dex pvp bowa :D

Okay I understand it now.
If the minimum is LESS than the Maximum (Extremely rare) then the ring will have the single mod.

Right. Well to be exact, it is still two mods, but is shown as only one.
