Bowazon ?

well after playing this game for about a month.. im back on my feet =) i have found a LEGIT 179 or 171 dmg ballista should i try making a bowazon or trade it away for something ? input needed.:shocked:

I don't know how good or able they are, but I've wanted to make a fun zon. Would you be willing to trade the ballista to me? What ED is it? Any IAS? and any useful MODS? Thank you!

Strap on Angelic Ammy and a single halo for the dexterity and Attack Rating.
Throw in a Manald Heal ring for the leech.
Sigon Helmet and Gloves for 10% Leech, 30 IAS, Attack Rating.
Twitch for the IAS, Strength and Dexterity.
Rare boots and gloves of your personal choice.

Then turn that character into a Cow Killing Multi-Arrow.
As the only weapon that really works well with Multi-Arrow is the big cannon Ballistas.

If a bowzon interests you then that would be a great weapon for her. If not I have no idea of the trade value as that char class is a rare one. Finding the right buyer could make it worth a decent amount.

Ballistas are horrible weapons.

Much too slow, and a steep strength requirement.

Gothic is the best bow for strafe, double//rune bow's are the best for multishot//guided

@lukejames: your wrong about that gear//wepn choice for a pvm zon

Use a double bow for 8 fpa attack, or rune for 9 fpa + more dmg. Multishot with a gothic bow just doesnt work well :/

With my new ladder soj, im trying to get a 80+ dmg 20 ias double bow to make a nice pvm bowazon

Heres what she would use-

20 ias 80+ dmg double bow
Sigs gloves + boots
goldwrap
Twitch
Angelic ammy + ring
Mana steal ar fr lr ring
Howltusk

OR

20 ias 100+ dmg rune bow
Twitch
Deaths combo
30 r/w fhr resist boots
Howltusk
Angelic ammy + ring
mana steal ar fr lr ring


And minus the bows strength req, ill be putting everything into dex O.o :D

#1 sorry to get you all confused about the ballista and its dmg its 161 , i must have been tired and sleepy or something , and some gloves

That ballista is worth a crap load more than silks.
It has IAS for goodness sakes, that's what I call a godly cannon.

yes both items are for trade, im not very shop friendly... so i dont know so much as what these items are worth but im sure we can make a deal since its just sitting on my mule. am currently in the process of working on a hammerdin so hammerdin items such as res armor + life / res helm + life and such =)

never seen gloves with IAS
I thought only unique/set gloves can give ias

I own dual res + dual leech gloves.. (broc gloves on steroids)

Why would you want to trade for this ballista? Not to be mean, but even a 200ed 20 ias +15-20 damage +2 zon ballista would still be bested by a 140 damage gothic bow with no ias :(

well then your not getting the point, most of zons run far out and just sniper , so the whole point is to get as much dmg as possible and shoot from a distance. Everyone knows that a zon would get ruined by any character in pvp or even pvm since they have been put down to almost nothing.

you should know that because you have been playing longer ;) but i guess not =/

Zons are good pvm and pvp. They can be played through hc untwinked solo. Their damage comes from their speed. Sniper? For pvp only, for pvm you stay still and everything dies before it gets close.

Id rather do 1k guided arrow that attacks 4 times a second than a 1.5k guided that attacks twice a second.

Ask anyone, speed = damage on bowa.

Thats why i prefer a godly double bow to a godly gothic bow for some builds

You mention having a hammerdin and I don't know how good of items u have already, both silks and shard are good for most hammerdins, and I have a nice 19dex +1pally rare ammy as well

Ballista will work with strafe, but if you are considering multishot take it from me double//rune is far more effective for Pvm + pvp
