If you had to choose which one to max, which would you pick, and why?

Shout because it increases the duration of the others.
And shout starts off with +100% Defence increasing by 10.
Skin starts off with +30% Defence increasing by 10.

Shout. Provides more defense, improves BO and BC duration and sinergizes Berserk. Not to mention you can give it to your team mates...

It depends on whether or not you play with other barbs who have strong warcries. If you are usually playing with a friend who has level 20 Shout, level 20 BO and level 20 Battle Command and lots of +skill gear, there is no way your Shout will be as good as his, so in that case it would be better to forget about your own Shout and put points in IS. But that is a pretty exceptional circumstance- for more versitality and independance, it would be better to put points into your own Shout. On the other hand, if you have two computers, you may find it useful to make your own BO/BC/Shout barb whose sole purpose in life is to warcry your other characters, in which case you just saved lots of skill points for all your other barbs to use.
