Wow, this always happens to me. Can anyone explain this. I know that you get restricted for a little when you log in/off too much, but sometimes it just happens randomly while I still have internet connection. It gets really annoying because sometimes you are about to do something beneficial, and then BOOM, you have been temporarily restricted.

Did you exit/enter games too fast? That could be it, too.

You get that restriction if you give too many commands to the server. I've done it by scrolling through my hotkeyed skills really fast with the scroll wheel on my mouse, creating too many games (when mfing) and constantly logging on/off to transfer items. It really is a pain ;\
I'm not sure what exactly Blizzard bans temporarily, IP address or cd key. Anyone know?

It happens alot when you mule-search for a specific item.
*Enter game*
*Search for the item on Mule1*
*Leave game*
*Enter game*
*Search for the item on Mule2*
*Leave game*
etc..
The game doesn't like rapid changing of games, under 10 seconds between games usually will realm down. They last anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 hours.

Always count 3 seconds before logging into a different account, always count 3 seconds before joining the same game to check a mule or mule items. I've never lost an item when muleing, yet, (knock on wood) or gotten RD, or restricted.

They just ban your ip, so you can get around it. Well, sort of.

I got temp ban once when i was clicking on my 150 spare stat points all to vitality, think if you behave like a bot and keep clicking with no time in between for a period of time you get a temp ban.

lol. how do you get 150 spare sp? I never had more than 20. Is this common? (to have 150 spare sp)

It's easy, level up and dont use any stat points.
Back in 1.09 when you could level in hell cows just by sitting at the portal I got over 300 points saved up. Even in this patch I have had over 200 easily. I have never gotten r/d when putting the points in though.

They ban CD keys.

They ban CD keys.
I don't think so, There is a DEFINATE way to get a r/d, then be back on playing like normal in 5 minutes. All you need to do is start mf'ing a new act boss or superunique or three.

They ban CD keys.
In the context of the post I quoted, by Spacedout, they ban your ip.
Of course they ban cd keys, but not for switching games or characters, which is what the quoted post, and the entire thread, is about.

True, they ban keys for MH and other naughty programs, not for switching games quickly/muling. I guess I jumped the gun with my post.

heh, I guess I should've said that Blizz might base the temp ban on who's using the cd key, not ban the cd key altogether. But IP address does make alot more sense
I just wish they'd try and find a way of actually detecting bots rather than temp banning so many people just because they can do things quickly.

It really hurts....lol
Since I'm so addicted, when I finally find some time to play the game, and I become temp restricted its pretty darn frustrating. lol

Are you on DSL? Do you have a router in your house? If so, you can change your IP manually.

The magic of [shift] click'ing statpoints was added for people like you and me. :)
I noticed that too on the random, very useful thing when just made a chunk of levels and its all gonna go into vita :azn:
