View Full Version : a question about mana regen in new patch
I have a pvp blizz sorc that I built before this patch and before this patch she devoured mana life crazy. I have 7 points into warmth and 3 into teleport so tele wouldnt take mana. but now all of a suddent she doesnt devour mana anymore and I havent changed anything on her. This other cold sorc said that now I only need 1 point into warmth and I should be fine. I was wondering if this was true? do I really now only need 1 point into warmth for a cold sorc?

You generally only need 1 point in Warmth. +skills will boost it up to a decent level.
But did the patch change something? because before she needed every one of those points into warmth and she still could run out of mana. now all of a sudden I dont have that problem and I didnt change anything about her.

Are you now perhaps running frequently with someone with an insight merc?
With a cold sorc, it doesn't take much to keep your blue ball from dropping, orb and blizz both have huge casting delays.
Since your mana regen rate is tied to how much mana you have, and your mana is somewhat tied to your level, above a certain level, you'll have enough mana to regenerate fast enough not to ever hit zero mana.
Maybe you gained enough levels to put you in that range (around 65 if I remember right from my last sorc).
no she was lvl 86 and still losing mass mana. now it just stopped being a problem. and no there was no insight merc there was nothing of the sort. it just stopped draining completely out of the blue for no reason at all.
Equipped any item with + % mana like Frostburn, Waterwalk, SoJ ? Got Tal's set ? How much did you invest in mana ? (i hope not much)
