Hey everyone --

Thanks a lot for gaming with me these past few months. I've quit and returned and retired and unretired a bunch of times over the years, but now's the time to move on with my life.

I really enjoyed chilling with you folks in the banana channel; it was good getting to know the lot of you.

The advice dished out to countless (well, I suppose you can actually count it just by looking at post-count, but whatever) rambling posts regarding little twingy details here and there - I've greatly appreciated.

For those that want an explanation: I finished my 'perfect' glitch Baal trapper. I'd set out to do that, and I completed it. Then I messed it up by getting Guardian because I was slightly intoxicated last night back from partying. That kinda irritated me, but no big deal, I really like restarting characters and playing untwinked and stuff. Last night I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about this girl I'd just met. I was reading the forums a bit this morning. Then I tried to take a nap and ended up staring at the ceiling for awhile. I thought to myself: Man, you really need to end this addiction and move on with your life. Get a friggin' job, you lazy bum. That was the basic thought process leading up to this somewhat life-changing decision.

Good luck in all you do, I hope (if this is more than casual gaming for you) you too can eventually muster the... 'strength'? to break your cds, delete your Diablo folder (and empty recycle bin), give away your passwords, and give away your CDkeys. 2 sets are going to Xey to do as he sees fit, 1 is going to a friend o' mine.

Oddly I used the same title when I quit this game and said goodbye here two years ago now....ah well I stayed away almost two years and if my kids hadn't started up I might have lasted until DIII.

Good ole Douglas Adams...well he won't be back...

Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Thanks for the well-wishing, folks! I fear that this time, however, it seriously will be for good. I can't purchase legit Diablo II in Malaysia; only pirated versions are available. Also, I'm too lazy to e-bay - whether it be for equipment (ha) or anything!

OH. AND TO ALL YOU DOUBTERS OUT THERE. STEPHANIE CHAI ASKED ME TO LUNCH TODAY.

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO WERE THERE DURING MY HOUR-LONG RAVE ABOUT HOW INCREDIBLY AMAZING THIS GIRL IS, YOU BEAR WITNESS TO THE CULMINATION OF ALL THAT POSITIVE ENERGY.

I haven't slept in two days, I just went to the gym, I partied last night, and I just ate fish and chips for breakfast. Life is SO good.

Btw don't think I'm leaving these forums, guys. Well, for most DII related stuff, I'm sort of dead, but I'll contribute what nooblar knowledge I have of little intricacies of the game when other nooblars feel the need to post.

Btw for those of you who know the story -- the married woman I... 'captivated' at the Hilton on New Years Eve? Saw her last night, and she was tooootally trying to get me to come back to her hotel (she had a fight with husband and shipped out for a bit to 'cool off' apparently)... but I had other ideas, like, e-stalking (not really) Stephanie Chai.

I've had steak and beer for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack time for three days straight... fish and chips is budget food =)

I usually just eat coeds I find on campus.

Good luck with real-life Soc, I also kicked the habit for a while, but living in New Hampshire at the moment, I ran out of real-life things to do besides party and play poker and would rather spend time playing d2 than developing a gambling addiction.

Cheers

Yeah, budget, fish and chips isn't much more costly per day than 12 packs of Kraft Dinner. It's more expensive than noname KD knockoffs, but that stuff isn't budget food, it's a few steps below... generally it's "oops, guess I shouldn't have bet my utility bills on black" food.

Hahaha... check the date on the original post.

And Allan, yes, that Stephanie Chai. And on a further note, no, there was never any hookup; no love. Discovered that she'd do much better as a friend than not (right, that translates into: "she wasn't interested, and I couldn't pull off cool as well as I'd like to have thought I could").

Um. Don't mention that any of the friends she has. Uh. Plays computer games. My dorkfactor with her is high enough already (stumbling over words and simple sentences, inability to form coherent/cogent strings, etc., etc.).
