I'm building a meteorb sorceress, and noticed something on other high-level sorceresses. What's the golden orb above them when they're running around?

no worries, i wondered this too when i first saw it (years ago that is)

it's a lightning-tree skill called energy shield

it takes damage from your mana instead of your life, so it allows for a sorc to live longer with less life

there are plenty of guides around the sorc forums... also, type "energy shield" into the search function up at top and you'll find some good info there

scroll down about 1/2 way until you find energy shield (sometimes called NRG shield, fyi)

Energy Shield. You don't want ES with a Meteorb though. Too much of a strain on skill points. It directs a certain % of damage you would've taken to your life to your mana instead. Extremely useful on some sorc builds.
