View Full Version : Any finished stories?
Hi all, i was just wondering if there were any completed stories out there?
I can appreciate how long it takes to get each chapter together, but you wouldnt go to the shop and buy the first few pages of a book, know what i mean?
Anyway, ive had a look and cant seem to find a story thats been finished yet.
Cheers guys- and keep up the good work, authors...

Your best bet would probably be http://tdl.diabloii.net/, where the stories that are good enough often get submitted and posted.

Quite a few, actually. In addition to what's on TDL:
The Green Dragon of the Kingdom (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=150731)
Demon Makeover! (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=161480)
Gift From a Small (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=159126)
Masks (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=206914)
A Star in Her Palm (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=140674)
The Harrowing of James Cortez (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=248691)
An Inebriated Xmas Tale (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=296136)
Brain Salad Frequency (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=354296)
Disingenuous (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=387569)
There are more, but those should keep you busy for a while. :)

Haha, why in God's name did you include my drunken Christmas story? That's just insane.
Yet you left out The Art of Dying, which was completed... hmm.

The "Art of Dying" is on TDL, so there was no need for Snowglare to list it.

Wow! Eureka! Hallelujah!
This gives a whole new meaning to my little writing hobby. I'm no longer just "0xDEADCAFE, Amateur Hack," now I can add "Plagiarist Abettor" to my marquee. But wait! That's only if I''m good enough to be honored with your name above my words next to the title "English 101." Please, oh please, random poster of little or no scruples -- pick me!

I don't think that's what he meant...
I said "those should keep you busy for a while", and he said "yeah, this will help when I'm 'doing' coursework." That sounds to me like he intends to read the stories instead of doing his work, which is my favorite form of responsibility-shirking ;). Nothing he says suggests that he intends plagiarism, and if he did, we'd hardly be aiding him. It would be all too easy to jump onto TDL (which is linked to three times in the forum rules), or any of thousands of sites hosting professional and amateur works, and copy something from there. And it's not like "write D2 fan fiction" was ever an assignment in school, so why ask here of all places? Don't worry about it.

I believe Snowglare is correct. Besides, fan fiction is not exactly a publishable form of literature, and if you had any intention of trying to get an original work published I would think it unwise to risk even putting it on a forum.
And Snowglare, did you get my last PM?

Yes, thanks for your answers. I'd have replied again, but I had nothing to add.
lol don't worry- i'm doing a HND in Leisure management...
Snowglare got it right- i can't concentrate on coursework for long, so these stories come in handy... and they are entertaining...

Both of my short stories were finished a long time ago, as well as Sanctuary is Now Officially Doomed. I would recommend the latter if you want a laugh.
cool- i'll check it out...
