Shield upgrade

Hi there !

As i seldom upgraded items, i don't know yet what mods apply, as well as prereq to equip.

For the following shields, what would they turn in after upgrade, and what str/dex lvl req., blockrate etc. :
- Visceratuant (P Diam)
- Moser (El + P Diam ?)
- Wistand (P diam)

And would any of them be better for Full Tal Meteorb going max block ? I don't have Storm unfortunately, but I guess the str saved could be useful (despite loss of DR)

if thats whistan's guard then it cant be upped its set item... and as for the other two... they cant be upped unless ur ladder. if you are, viscertuant would turn to a heater i believe, and mosers would be... O_o idk ive never thot about upping one. why not just get a lidless if ur on ladder and up that?

Yes, I play on ladder, and I only upped norm to except for the moment...
Yes I was talking about whistan's guard, and didn't think about unuppable set items, thx for the precision.
I don't plan on using Lidless because i want to got max block.

Any detail about dex/str and lvl requirement after upgrade will be very welcome.

Upgraded Lidless is about the silliest idea I've heard in a while. Increase the str req to 106 for what, the chance of adding a little extra defense (it's actually more likely that the defense will drop)?

Dadou, the Arreat Summit is a good resource for this type of question. Try here (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/shields.shtml) first and come back if you have any more questions. Viscerataunt will upgrade into a Heater and Moser's will upgrade into a Luna.

Upgrading Lidless has never been the point of this post... it's not in the list i made, and i exactly wrote that i wanted to go max block.

Thx for the link PhatTrumpet, i learned alot. I think i'll use Evisceratuant upped with PDiamond, since it'll only require 77str, give 72% block and will allow me to save stat points for life ^^

don't forget the lvl req goes up aswell, but it should be lvl 50 after upgrading

As i still don't have Storm but found Gerke, i'll try and compare Whitstand, Gerke and Visceratuant and make up my mind based on experience.
