hey i just found the unique yari which was ehtereal, its got 3 socs and 45 crushing blow and i was wondering if it woudl be a ok merc weap if i upped it and then put some 30 enchanced damage jewels on it had if i had like 3 30's upped it and it was etherial how much damage woudl that be? i cant remmeber the total damage

With 3x30% enhanced damage jewels, an upp'd ethereal Hone Sundan would be (note that the 90% ED granted by the jewels is added directly to the weapons existing ED%):

the damage is 193-217 non eth


That's the maximum damage range of a non eth Hone Sundan, yes. It would have a max of 193 if it spawned with 160% ED, and it would have 217 if it spawned with 200%.

I would up it if it has a ed% of 198 or higher.

A very good choice for upgrading. Heck, IŽd upgrade it even if it wasnŽt ethereal, but then the merc needs more +DEX gear (Ghost Spears require a lot of DEX).

Unless the merc has life steal from somewhere else, IŽd stick in an Amn rune. Then one or two Shael runes, depending on if he hits more IAS breakpoints or not. With no off-weapon IAS, IŽd use ShaelShael. High-speed Crushing Blow pwns.

Jiansonz, you forgot that it's a BNet - he should be adviced to put 3 BERs in this weapon :rolleyes:

aaww thanks guys i will try to upp it... if i get the runes... no i wish i had three high runes or gear equal to 3 bers lol.. thanks guys for the input i will tell u guys how it goes

i just upped it and put a 36 enhanced jewel in to, going to put a amn and amn or should i got shael amn? thanks

For the merc I would put at least 1 shael in it, it will attack 1 or 2 breakpoints faster. Depending on whether your merc's helm has life leech I would choose the amn or another shael.

Lets not forget that anything that spawns in Ethearl, will gain a -% requirement of 10% off requirement(not sure if I stated this correct but for example, Berserker axe costs 138 strength while eth berserker axe costs 128 strength...)
