Question About Re-Rolling

I wanna get into more of the re-rolling gcs business so here are quick questions:

1) Heard best place to get the gcs are Act III NM because its the last needed Ilvl or w/e to get a skiller. However, I won't be able to get the best life Mods.

2) How do you reroll? GC + #? pgems.

3) I cant think of anything else...

1) a3 nm after great marsh has a chance of becomming a skiller. its not necessarily the best place but great place to start i guess. best life mods will be off hell diff baal, diablo, and nith.

2) reroll gc = gc and 3pgems (includes pskulls) in cube.

Hell Baal and nil gcs are the only ones that can get 41+ life, that doesn't include Diablo ...AFAIK. But, because of such a high ilvl on these gcs, you have even more options in mods that can roll ... so the chances of rolling even a plain skiller, much less one with 41+ life is probably close to 1 in 33 or 99 pgems.

With act3 nm gcs (and I think they have to either drop from council or any lvl of durance) the ilvl is low enough that there are not as many mods available and the chance of rolling a skiller drops to 1 in 10 or so or 30-40 pgems. Though, how much life you could get on these, I don't know. Probably not much.

My 2 best rolls have been with hell pit gcs. A cold skiller with 37 life and a martial arts skiller with 40, that I actually got on the 1st roll ... just 3 pgems. :shocked:

If you pick up a skiller and re-roll it is it mroe likely to come up with improvements? I picked up a Curses GC but heard it's not worth anythign really...am i right in believeing this?

You would be very surprised that the difference is actually very small:
ilvl 50 (the lowest to get a skiller): 21/461 ~ 1:22
ilvl 99 (Baal charm): 21/485~ 1:23

That's because only a few prefixes are added after ilvl 50. (Bloody, Serrated, Lucky)

I think you don't understand. If you take a Grandcharm and reroll it with 3 PGems, you just create a new magical charm that has the chance of having any possible mods as it was just dropped from the same monster as the old one.
95% of the time you will get crappy results, but you can still try it with the same charm... At least if you are starting with skiller, you can be sure that you can roll another skiller again.

3)if you are rerolling scs, get scs that are from hell baal(ilvl 99). if you get a 100 pdsc from rerolling it, reroll it again lol. you are bound to get 175 pdsc with a mod :)

Only baal is mlvl 99, Nith is mlvl 95.

None, actually. An ilvl 95 small charm will have an alvl of 91, enough for every suffix and prefix (the highest small charm prefix is 91, and the highest suffix is 85 I believe).

Likewise, an ilvl 95 grand charm will have an alvl of 95, also enough for every suffix and prefix (the highest grand charm prefix is 75, and the highest suffix is 91, excluding the 110 "of vita" one, of course).

So would it just be a complete waste of time re-rolling gcs from Act III NM than baal or Nihk Gcs since the ratios are 1:22 and 1:23.

If you reroll the NM Act 3 ones, you can definitely get skillers, but you won't have a chance of getting the 41-45 life mod from the Baal GCs.
