I have some problems with the lvl thingys in rerolling a coronet...

From AS:

6 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item = 1 Random Low Quality Rare Item of the same type
You can use this formula to get another chance at a Rare Item of the same type. ilvl = int(.4 * clvl) + int(.4 * ilvl) Player level matters. This formula will not work on items larger than 3x2.

What does the "low quality rare item" stand for? Is it possible to get a nice coronet with nice stats with this formula?

So i found a rare coronet from hell meph. Isnt his lvl 87 or something. So that makes the level of the coronet also 87. or?? My char is 92. So according to the formula above, the new ilvl= 70. Seems kinda low to me. So is it possible to get a coronet with good stats this way? Or do i have to be of higher lvl and get the coronet from baal or something??

edit: It probably doesnt pay off to reroll more times than one, because the ilvl is lower, so the next ilvl is even lower, 64 to be exact. Or does dit somehow remember the old?

If you are looking for a +2 to skills I would say no, it's a waste of skulls.

Reroll rare diadems, not tiaras, coronets, or circlets. You can reroll rare diadems indefinitely because the qlvl of the item is so high that it is possible to get +2 to all skills on them, even after numerous rolls with the low quality rare, skull recipe.

It's finding the diadem (or gambling?) that's tricky... I found a Griffons and I have yet to find a rare diadem.

Just pick up a white one and imbue it - when it sucks start the rerolling.
