Socketed items stay socketed when upgraded and you can socket upgraded items, too.
EDIT: Again, got beat to it.
Btw, the author of this thread is talking about upgrading a dimensional blade, in this case he'll have an eth phase indeed.

If you actually own that I'm gonna cack my pants...
That is almost a 100% perfect pb. Only missing 2 sockets instead of 1.
For a fury wolf, its pretty much up there with the best weapons you can get. And it's also good for stuff like a zealot.
Also 10/10 for style points...
now if it only had fools and AR per clvl.. :yikes:

The dual leech and +212 AR are good enough for me :azn:
But yeah, fools...EEK!
now if it only had fools and AR per clvl.. :yikes:
you can only get that if the %ed < 301

Dont cack in ur pants. Like it was said eth phase blades does not exist! except if U use some hacks. The autor was just imaging that if only it could be ....
Ppl got association when weapon is indestructible its also eth, what is wrong.
But if U upgrade (U can upgrade only Rares or Uniques) dimensional blade U can get phase blade bonuss - indestructible
Hmm...I was just wondering if U upgrade Ginther's Rift (dim blade) to phase blade what could happen with Ginther's mod Repairs 1 Durability in 5 Seconds if phase blade does not have durability ???
rare eth phase blades DO exist, no hack needed, just upgrade an eth crystal sword/dimensional blade
@ WhiteAlien: you get the repair durability anyway (even if you don't need it)
like this rare phase blade:
Ghoul Saw
Phase Blade
One-Hand Damage: 88 to 99
Required Dexterity: 136
Required Strength: 25
Required Level: 54
Sword Class - Very Fast Attack Speed
Indestructible
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 87
Fingerprint: 0xd8986563
+184% Enhanced Damage
Adds 56-94 fire damage
Adds 1-6 lightning damage
Repairs 1 durability in 33 seconds

Yeh. Hence my comment.
Eth PB's only exist because a rare / unique dimensional blade which was etheral has been upgraded.
So hope that clears up your misunderstanding...

Ofc U R right, what I ment is, that eth PB does not spawn in natural way. Btw, upgrading eth weapns is not good idea...

And why are you saying that?

And why are you saying that?
Coz U will lose eth bonuss during the upgrade, what means, 4 example, uping exceptional armor to elite U can finish with lower defense than U had.

lol
Sorry but thats mis-information.
First off. The bug ONLY worked on etheral armours that were upgraded.
Secondly, the bug was fixed in 1.11.

well theres seems to be 2 different answers here
1. yes they stay eth
2. no they wont
and those are pretty different from each other so... SOME1 PLZ CONFIRM WITH REAL PICTURE OF ETH PHASEBLADE(non hacked)
Upgrading a rare ethereal dimensional blade to phase blade will retain it's ethereal bonus.

I'll confirm it although I don't have a screenie of an eth rare phase blade available, but I've seen a few around.
A eth rare phase blade cannot actually drop from a monster since phase blades have inherent indestructableness. However, it is possible to upgrade an eth rare crystal/dimensional sword into phase blade status and still retain the etherealness. That's for rare phase blades.
Concerning white phase blades, you cannot have an ethereal one of these since you can't upgrade just a plain eth crystal/dimensional and eth phase blades cannot drop as explained above.
All clear?
I would've got you a screenie of an eth phase on ladder, but only if you give an Um ^^
Ok, just couse this is funny as hell with people not knowing ****. Im gona say this:
Phase Blade can not spawn etereal. A Eth PB is possible by upgrading a Eth Crystal or Dimension Blade ( I have a 150% Eth PB Ginthers on ladder right now.) So as
Evrae Altana (http://forums.diabloii.net/member.php?u=164979) said ,only a unqiue or rare eth DB or Cryst can be up'd into an Eth PB. (Most worthless mod on a PB=Ages or Repair durability...)
btw, yes, zerg, that is sexy.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_4087367", true); </SCRIPT>
