I have found 3 Wizardspikes now...

+75 res all :) I like it...

So if someone dual wielded wizzies, they would in fact get +150 Res All, right?

I was thinking about making a weird char who dual wielded the wizzies....

Barbarian is the only one who can wear dual weapons at the same time. Some kind of Singerbarbarian comes to my mind, dunno about other builds.

Best thing you could do with dual Wizard Spikes is make a singer barbarian.

As mikki posted, Barbs are the only ones that can dual wield weapons. I can't imagine a Barb using knife's, nor does any mastery to it (does SW apply to this?). Maybe as posted, a singer could be made, but I can't imagine a singer in hell difficulty...........

Probably a sorc or necro can make the best use of it, since they're not weapon dependant.

My lightning sorc loves her wizardspike. I have enough + skills from other items and the knife takes care of most of my faster cast and resists.

Also, my buddy is working on a singer barb using dual wizardspikes. The character is pretty useless by itself because the damage he can do is very little, however, when partied with my holy shock pally (we've multiplayed since level 1), we are unstoppable on p8 hell. He stuns everyone and I just slaughter them with help from both mercenaries and his low physical damage from the warcrys. It's just crazy how powerful a party becomes with the singer...he's the ultimate helper. Life and mana go up by 125%, enemies are stunned and don't move for 5 seconds, so they can't hit back and it's party time!

Actually, dual wizzies are the top choice (or close) for a singer barb

Well, sweet then...

I guess I'll look up the singer and that will be my only MP char (when the chance arrives  )

If you all want, add me to your buddy list and keep in touch if you ever want to MP with a singer... But remember, I still have to build him along with 4 other chars

Or you could um them, use some other OW gear and have some nice res for a bvc!

Dual HoTo's would be best for a singer

But you also need a big Mana pool to support dual HotOs. Dual HotOs also drain your Mana faster, esepcially when each War Cry is costing 50+ Mana.

But yes, they are the best on a Singer.

Singer Barbarians are...weak. They are far from amazing, dealing roughly 1k per warcry. Might be good for party play tho...most of their points, if not all, are spent in the WarCries tree.

After making a cleric, a dual wizzies singer barb seems like a much superior choice. I might try one, once I get the two wizzies and a couple WC skillers

I see everybody saying a singer is too weak and won't do enough damage...

Well, I never made one but I seriously doubt that. Look at Jiansonz tankazons and his Lucky ... There the merc / valk is doing most of the kills.

Same thing could be done with a singer. You need two weapons for a might merc: one for physical dmg (eth reapers would be perfect) and one with lots of elemental dmg (demon's arch perhaps, or a rare with good mods) for PIs. The singer with dual wizzies, Guardian Angel perhaps and only some more resists will be almost unkillable, his BO / BC / Shout will make the merc a real killing machine. Not the fastest build, but I guess it would be very viable.

Well, I made Guardian with a singing barbarian without too much trouble, so it's definitely a viable hell build. If you do a search, you can probably find the post with the details of my gear, etc. I'm certainly not the only one to have done it, either... I know a couple of others on the forums have singing guardians.

Ugh, you made a singer barb guardian with a merc with "insight" thresher? It must have been slow as hell (if a concentrate barb is slow enough, I can't imagine a build like this) How did you manage PI monsters? With the true and proven tactic of "run away!"?

Yes, I had to run from PIs occasionally (though the merc dealt with most of them quite handily). The only real problem monster was Lister, who was PI... that was a long fight.

And actually, this char *wasn't* that slow. I had to play on P1, of course... but in HC hell, that's pretty typical for questing anyway. The "Insight" thresher was a big help, of course... but I made it to late act 2 hell before the new rune words were available, and I definitely think you could play the character without an Insight if you don't play with the RWM.

And Skunkeneggar was *much* more fun than a concentrate barb :)
