Few Classic Item Questions

Havent played classic since Xpac came out. Back when SS's were worth alot.

What are the current rare duped items and thier stats (weapons/armors/rings/ammys/etc.) as many as you can list please.

Hi! I haven't seen you in classic before so, Welcome. Be sure to read the stickies on the rules here.

Now, about your question, there is a place here that lists most known dupes. Use the search here and type "Dupes" it should give you a list of them. As far as their value, well that's where we start treading on thin ice. You see, their frowned upon here as we try and stay as legit as possible. The list here is for people who don't know what the known dupes are and don't want to mistakenly trade for them, their value in SOJ's are not listed. If you want to find that out, I suggest the tradeing channels, in game. Hope this helped.

May I just add the following:

I will not allow threads asking for trade value of dupes.
I will not allow threads discussing or telling where to get them, or how to make them.
I (or a trade mod) will ban immediately if someone knowingly posts a trade thread with dupes in the FT or ISO lists.

I WILL allow discussions on the morality of using them, and why it is cheating or why it is not cheating. These kinds of discussions can be healthy.

This list is not meant to be all inclusive.

My own opinion aside, you follow these rules, and you will be OK here.

Any cheap prepatch items are most likely dupes. 999 out of 1000 times they are. Some items you think would be legit are extremely rare or private dupes. To give you a rough estimate, my USEast Classic dupe list has about 500 items on it (this list is private and will never be released to the public)
Many dupes are unknown to the public, and I have pride in not using those :)
I still don't use dupes as I rarely play non ladder now, but I have many rare dupes that a group of friends wear a a sign of pride and wealth. The two chars I still do use on NL, my gold finder and BvB, are both 100% legit :)
I see the handful of private dupes I do wear (in channel, trade games) not as cheating, but as something to show off. I don't need them for my own use, but I've had them for a long time (they were duped on the 1.09 lag dupe, which I do not believe was in violation of the EULA), and although I did not dupe them, they're still nice to have. I don't use dupes to play the game, but rather as a symbol of wealth and power. One certain helm, which is limited to seven copies, are all owned by members of a certain LLPK clan, and we don't use them, but when someone sees one, they realize that the person wearing it is both rich, and a legendary PKer.
A while ago a user here named "Barl" argued with me over the ultimate BvB ornate. He claimed a common dupe (Dire Carapace) was the ultimate ornate, and I argued for postpatch legits (15str is the kicker here). He said he was going to build a BvB to kick my ***, which he never did, and it turns out he was just a newbie from xpac coming here to try to get a bunch of Grim Spurs (it turns out a good number of these brought to xpac have started poofing, GG morons). I don't use these, I have a legit pair of boots better than them, and I hate the idiots that come to classic and spam that they're paypaling them. Most people who use common dupes have the exact same char setups (the only variation in classic NL hammerdins is the shield, and a few use scepters). People think that to be godly, you need a hammerdin using the same -40 ornate, same boots, belt, amulet, one of two helms, and one of two duped FCR rings or SOJs. It's sad how these people try to make classic like xpac: every "godly" char a clone of every other because xpac uniques are all the same, and classic NL people seem to want the same duped items.
And also, of the 500 or so items on my list of USEast dupes, only about a dozen remain the best I've seen of that type. Between myself and a close group of friends, we've managed to get legits better than nearly every dupe.
Common dupes make games boring, but rare dupes still leave what I like about classic intact. The best items are unique (or in this case, extremely rare symbols of wealth and power).
And of course, one level 35 character of prepatch legits can make you famous :) Those who use godly prepatch legits beat all those geared with dupes, that's why they're the best.

There are many people who take this game way too seriously, and Paypal-ing for these dupes AND xfering to Xpac is just, IMO, sad. I mean c'mon...wasn't the initial money you dished out to purchase the game good enough? It's things like this that make me want to switch to Ladder come next season, which I'll probably end up doing anyways.
