PvP melee zealot (my next char)

Well, i decided to just forget about the ice blast sorc for now, and focus on a pvp melee zealot, as in a dueler i plan to take into bvb games to compete

On my last pvp zealer, i used orn/grim helm/30/20 +2 300 def grim shield, a defensive zealer, but this time i am going for a low strength/dex high life offensive zealer


Gear-
30 ias 100 dmg knout (to be replaced by a 20 ias nice naga, or just a higher dmg knout w/ at least 10 ias)
bloodfist
twitch
s-back
gtoe
angelic combo
3 p ruby death mask


20 zeal
20 fanat
20 holy shield
20 sacrifice
Rest to charge

At level 80 in single player using this gear i achieved-

low def (2k)
1.6k life
maxed block
50 fhr
1k zeal 9/4
10k ar
open wounds + crushing blow

With range 3, i expect to take down the majority of ww barbs (bh/twitch/sback bvbs) with shift zeal

I've never witnessed in classic, a zealer take down a whirlwind barbarian of any decency.

WW barbs > zealers in general

If the zealer has any idea what hes doing then he can compete, although the odds are against him

If the ww barb is a noob or has >range 3 then with shift zeal you can stand a chance.

im thinking that the 'chance' u are taking about is more like no chance, your going to run upto a baba... or run after, whatever, and expect the baba NOT to ww thru you?!? as soon as u get hit (or block) your gonna be either dead or in block lock... i know you intention is to get him in block lock but unless u get get a 'free hit' first u just gonna be dead.... u will have 1/2 the life 1/2 the def u may aswell make the char a mule now to save the heartache later.

u in europe?id love to duel with my lv 40ama, or my v v v poor lv 63 baba, hes basicly a mule :P

I know how to play as melee vs ww barbs, it is tough but with shift zeal range 3 4 fpa you can do it. Especially vs bh barbs.

I wont get into block lock with 2 frame fbr + maxed block + decent fhr, and zeal is uninteruptable, so his ww wont stop me from hitting him

2h zealots can be ok vs casters, in fact a bec is probably the best 2h zeal wep there is due to its speed + range 5.

You dont stand a chance vs ww barbs tho, unless they are either a noob, or you can shift zeal like a god, or both

Of course I don't plan on using it against barbs, the char is entirely for fun and also a comedy option.

Lvl 25 zealot and growing :)

So far he has all his gear minus s-back and 3pruby (can be obtained easily)

Currently using clegs shield + sword until he can use his sexy knout, 2 bad for lvl 48 req :(

But yah... he will have no resists whatsover so ill only really be doing melee duels... although i suppose he could do alrite vs boners + dins


@lukejames: i dont think i would be able to make a video, however, if you want to make a ghetto barb on east ill gladly fight it :thumbsup:

(luke, come to east, where everything is an soj cheaper :D)


Just to clear things up, ww barbs are far superior to zealers when it comes to 1v1.

That doesnt mean i cant have fun, and win some duels in the process, rest assured i have a few tricks up my sleeve ;)

made some progress today, now im at lvl ~38

Using all endgame gear minus knout (damn that lvl 48 req)

So just using clegs sword + shield for lvling ;)

It seemed to do well against the few barbs i dueled ~~

Level 48 req is caused by the combo mods of AR+ED, so higher level req generally means more AR :)

yeah... its 139ed + 17 max... the ar is like ~180

Btw- Look out for a higher dmg knout w/ at least 10 ias for me ^^

So we made a bvb game, had some fun duels, then pLz- clan comes and i c a lvl 60 barb and 60 foh team up to ruin the fun... bastards


But yeah... the char is rele fun... if you have a barb around lvl ~50 East sccl drop me a line and we'll do some 1v1 ^^

plz clan is Septic clan from ls2. If they bother you again, call me in :D Once my FOH is done it'll be able to take out pretty much anything. My lancer will be perfect for sorcs (and possibly FOHers), and not much else :(
