OK, I'm usually pretty proficient with PCs, but I honestly don't have time for this. I was just about to bust out some work on a brochure I must create for my World cultures class, and I get this warning -
"publisher cannot open files from a different version"

Heres how you can help -
Tell me the filesize and wear to find an update to most current version. I'm on a modem, so it needs to be downloadable in an evening, and free... I pretty much thought mine was new. Please, help. My GPA rides on this project.

You are misreading the error. Even if you have the latest version you can't open one from a past version. Stupid I know, but it used to work that way with PowerPoint too.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhg....
This project is an entire unit. My B is now an F for the quarter since I can't turn it in late... Uhhhhhhhg......................................... .........................................
I couldn't use words to express my fury without it being raped by the word filter, so ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** **

Thanks for the help, though. I don't understand why that would be. From a logical perspective, a newer version should just be updated, not a new program.

You can't hand your teacher the file until you can get it printed?

What did you use to create the file in the first place?

No, I couldn't finish the project on my home PC, I had the class first hour. Being that it was an entire unit grade, it was turn it in that day or no credit ever. I used microsoft publisher to create it, and my home version of microsoft publisher couldn't open it.
