Since most wind spells deal physical damage, will the might aura from an act 2 merc increase damage for those spells?

An act2 Might merc is useless for a wind druid .. Only certain pets could benefit from it.

give him a reaper's toll and he'll do his share of dmg and provide you with decrep

better choice would be act2 normal or hell defencive merc+reaper or insight

Thanks for the responses. Will amplify damage affect wind spells? I wouldn't think so, but one of the guides in the compendium said that it does.

I'm pretty sure it does... Tornado = physical damage. Amplify Damage and Decrepify lower physical resistance (or even break physical immunity), therefore increase damage dealt with Tornado/Twister. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please :D

Yes, that is correct. Amp and Decrep boosts Tornado not by affecting the spells themselves, but by lowering the monsters' physical resistances.

Not sure about Act1 merc with those equipment but personally and generally speaking, I prefer Act1 merc when mfing with Windy given that she doesn't succumb to Iron Maiden when I'm mfing in Chaos Sanctuary/Worldstone Keep/Throne. The only thing I miss is the crushing blow effect which one can derive by employ Act2 merc and equipping him with proper gears. I'm currently using Act1 merc with Fort, Gaze and Ice. Holy freeze looks cool and works nicely on normal minions and she rarely dies, if any at all. However, killing Baal is still a pain. I'm thinking of getting Wrath bow for my merc so that she can cast decrep on Baal (similar direction compared to those people who recommend Reaper Toll for Act2 merc for Windy).
