Will it work?

Sure it will work, but you would be in trouble in player 8 games. Are you planning on MF in player 1 games, or leveling up/MF at flayer in public games? Your build uses too many sets for my liking, but I wasn't too excited for the results from my pvm barb this season, who only used sigons.

Anyone have success soloing in hell mode player 8 games, and killing quickly?

if this is for an mf barb the setup looks kinda off. For a pvm barb its kinda off. It looks like an akward mix between the 2

Bonesnap kills whole packs of flayers in 1 ww in 8 player games

In river of flame, in 8 player games its kinda slow vs strong urdars, but it works

8 player trav it kills fast

~50 resist from nat resist after bc (cant remember what lvl this is)


I tried this with 100 vita rest to strngth, and then several diffirent strength/vita ratios, and i found 150/rest to strength to be the most effective, in terms of staying alive and killing fast

Goldskin is out of the question, too expensive, too hard to magic find with no viable-characters. Same goes with the ring and belt.

Gskin... if you cant get this, try. If still cant, any armour with resists will do

if you plan on doing hell travincal runs, make sure you have 75 (or close to 75) lightning resists. Its absolutely crucial, trust me. The council dudes spam their lightning attack all over the place and it will kill you fast even if you have life leech. Fire resist should also be 75.

In my eyes, this would be a reasonable setup for general pvm action:

Irathas crown / tarnhelm
Rare armor with resists / goldskin
Bonesnap
1 Angelic ring
Angelic amu
dual leech ring (you can get one for 500k cash)
sigon boots, belt and gloves.

You might want to replace sigon boots with goblin toe later on in the game if you find that the crushing blow bonus is helpful.

with my setup you get 75 lr/fr


50-60 from nat resist
up to 30 fr + lr on rare ring
35 from gskin
up to 30 fr + lr on rare belt

Thats maxed lr/fr in hell even with mediorce ring//belt.

With sigs/manald, your resists are not quite maxed, but you can still survive just fine

With your setup, you will kill slower due to lower ar, and the r/w from sigons boots. Goblin toe owns over any boot for pvm barbs w/o mf no questions asked

You want FRW boots. If you don't run fast, then your runs will take up to three minutes longer. Which means a slower supply of treasures, not good productivity. A sorceress can teleport, a paladin can charge, barbarians/amazons need fast run/walk or else they will lack.

but w/o gob toe your dmg will be severely cut

r/w on a pvm ww barb is bad, cuz it effectively lowers ww dmg

It would hasten runs, besides, where are you going in such a hurry? Flayer + river of flame are pakced with monsters, and trav is close enough
