Hey all, I'm currently working on an all lightning sorc (with 1 point in warmth of course). She's lvl 66 and is my baby, I've been playing players 8 all the way through and it's been just brutal (for the poor monsters).
Questions:
1) Is it worth maxing nova if i'm pure light?
2)Where would she be best to mf at once she hits the 80s-early 90's
3)Is holy freeze merc the best for her?
cheers all
1) I would say yes, after maxing Lightning, Chain Lightning, Charged Bolt, Lightning Mastery.
2) She can do Countess, and I heard she could also do pindle, but mine focuses on Countess and leave the pindling to the blizzard sorc.
3) Probably.

Nova is a mana hog with lower comparative damage. If you're going to max it, I'd say max Light mastery and then switch to a different tree (maybe cold for FO). If you're going pure light, CL is a better spell.
Light sorceresses are great for running the Countess, and they can do pindle (if you have a backup for LI pindle). You could also run baal (static + merc CB + light damage).
Again on mercs:
For any primary physical damage dealer, might is best.
For any caster, HF is best
The other Act 2 mercs are situational. If you REALLY need to stack AR, then go BA. If you are REALLY trying to pump def, then go Defiance. But otherwise, the rules above win. Don't bother with the ther mercs.

Nova is a synergy to Lightning/Chain Lightning.

My experience is that this advice is dead on. And since I don't have a Blizzsorc, she runs Pindle too - just watch out when he's LI.

When running P8 Pindle I just skip him when his immunity matches my element.
