View Full Version : Should I synergize Fire Claws?

I'm now a Lvl 20 Druid focusing on my Werebear skills. I have 2 in Fire Claws, and I'm wondering if I should attempt to synergize with the Fire Skills. I already have 1 in both Firestorm and Molten Boulder.

I have 5 in Lycanthropy with +2 more from a Wolf Helm. I have 4 in Werebear. My damage is pretty significant for just being level 20 - I gambled an ended up with a descent Maul.

So... will it do me any good to synergize or should I just work on WBear skills?

Thanks!

Read some of the guides, like The dragoons werebear guide or Coldarmy's fireclaw guide.

If you want to build a fireclaw bear, you should leave werebear, lycantrophy, maul, shockwave and oak sage at 1 point. Max fireclaws and sink rest of the points in fireclaw synergies.

If you are building a mauler, you should max maul, werebear, lycantrophy and heart of wolverine. 1-5 points in shockwave and rest of the points in fireclaws if you need more attack rating.

Its hard to mix these two builds with good results but you could try.

Well, since I've already started down the path of no return with the Lycan and WBear skills, looks like I'm headed for a Mauler.

I'd browsed Dragoon's guide, but didn't see Coldarmy's...

Thanks!

While we are talking FC druids.

I am currently using a 6-Sheal phase blade for the speed, but is there another weapon that you cloud think of that gives a better combo of Speed/Damage? (since the base physical Dam of the Phase ids so low)

@Feetstench: No, not really. You could use war scythe/grim scythe/giant thresher with 6 shaels for range 5, but you would be giving up your shield.

I suggest you stick with the phase blade unless you are doing a hybrid.

Gris caddy works as well but it will be 1 frame slower. (only 10% ias more would have hit 4 :(, 3 shaeled tomb reaver (regular not eth) also hits 5 frames with respectable physical damage (and it also is 10% ias short of 4 frames).

Eth or non eth tombreaver with 3 sockets(its a 2 handed weapon) gives great resists, if you socket 2 shaels you'll hit 100 ias which i think is enough for fire claws

hope i could help:thumbsup:

cheers
