Meph drop.

I think (think, not sure) that I heard that Mephisto can't drop evey item in the game? Is this true, and if so, what items dont he drop?
I tried to search but I found nothing of value :P

Yes it's true, Meph cannot drop every item in the game. I don't have a list near me (nor am I near ATMA at the moment), but certain items that come to mind are both the T Mights (and IK armor), Tals Armor, Executioner's Justice, Mangs Song, Schaefer's Hammer, Windforce and the Tomb Reaver.

some advice though, if you are doing meph runs, if possible just go to the left and right side of meph's spawning place(which is the armour and weapon stack) and just to open them up. if time allows, open all chests and kill the council members too.

You dont have to do diablo/baal to get all those items, Ive found an IK armor & a Tals armour in the pits in the last wk (in consecutive runs! :p) so you could prob get most of the items (all?) from the pits too.

im pretty sure you can get everything in pits, same with baal. not sure about diablo though.

If memory serves, the chaos sanctuary is a level 85 area, same as pits, but always a set map, with (for me at least) a similar number of unique enemies, plus Diablo. Trade off is the increased difficulty, of course. But any item can drop there, including the sought-after vita mod on Diablo gc's.

Just to add some confusion - even if Meph can't drop stuff doesn't mean that its not worth the run.

I killed him the other day and thought I might as well do the Council members and worked my way round from left to centre. Somewhere in the centre fighting council members and those undead mage things (the ones that steal life and drop meteors) I found a Windforce! Surprised to say the least - thing is I think it came of one of the undead mages - possibly a boss one rather than Brem or a council member. I'd be interested to know the answer for sure.

Does this mean you can effectively get anything on a Meph run?

Edit just looked Windfore is TC 87 - so its definitely worth clearing out the Council as that means you can get anything?

Durance 1-3 are L83 areas, so any monster down there can drop from any TC (except their boss, Mephisto :lol: ). However, their level is just 83 (85 for champions, 86 for bosses and their minions). That's enough for e.g WF (qlvl 80), but not enough for a few items which Meph can drop, like Azurewrath or Arachnid Mesh (qlvl 87).
