Uber Questions

I've been hearing that making a zeal pally with one point into smite is still good for killing ubers fast. Is this a good idea as the zeal pally would be more well rounded or should I just go for a pure smiter? thx for the help

zeal pallys work if u got enough cb on as well as enough ar. i still feel smiters are better though because smite cannot be blocked therefore guarantees a hit 100% of the time. if u have enough cb, u take 10% of their life every hit until they're down to a sliver, then u gotta rely on ow and ds if u got any to finish them off.

smite is best to kill bosses, but zeal is much faster way to kill the minions imo.
i have zeal/smiter for ubers and he has no problems soloing them

One point smite is enough. It's the CB that's doing the real damage, not the actual smite damage.

I max smite because near the end when their life is low the crushing blow is less effective. I have about 50 percent cb so that every other hit will drop his life by percentage while the other hits him by a lot too cuz I have a high phaseblade grief. The character screen won't tell me how much dmg that is but I'm killing uber real easy. Since I did have extra points left I put all those points into zeal and it does work pretty well against minions. If you wanna rely on crushing blow only then you can get by with 1 point into smite. I find it more convenient to rely on half dmg half cb so I have free spaces to wear survival items.

what about a zealot with high CB and a phaseblade with enough shaels for 4FPA and eth runes to reduce the AR needed? if you could get away with 2shaels and 4 eth runes would that give you 95% chance to hit?
haveing awesome speed he could do 2 zeals in the space of 3 smites and deliver 2-3 CB hits per zeal, also you will activate the life tap on dracs more often.
I was going to build one for PvM but if it can take ubers too then I will definetly build it.

dont forget that itd doesn't work against bosses so eth runes will not help.what kills the ubers is not the smite dmg but the crushing blow.

im not 100% sure but it either doesnt work or receives the same penalty as pvp
so the best wep to use is death (eth zerk or ettin ) Last Wish, made in pb if you are ritch, is the best possible wep

I have a lvl 82 pally that can take out the ubers AND minions easily.

Full inventory of res charms and room for 1 grand charm. Around 60 res after conviction.



I can rush hell easily and take on ubers. I don't see why someone would want more points in smite.

The 3 chippie recipe gives you 2 sockets max. Just don't want to see people using up those valuable chips!

you dont really even need a special build... just put on a guillaume's for 35% cb and either an exile or dracs to cast life tap and its no problem

The raw damage difference between a maxed smite and an 1pt smite when fanaticism and holy shield are maxed is really low. And when grief is used the difference is negligible.
Maxed smite for ubers is an unecessary overkill that reduces the quality of the rest of the build.
