View Full Version : Will mana be an issue with this Windy?? [PVP & PVM]

This is the first time I'm making a Windy (mainly based on the guides here). Given that Windy is a caster, I'm concerned about lack of mana especially when the Windy hits 99%FCR. My equipment is as followed:

Helm: Jalal's Mane socketed with Shael (50%FHR, 5 mana after each kill, 30%resists)
Amulet: Mara (20%+ resists)
Armour: Enigma on Archon Plate (8%DR)
Weapon: HOTO (30+ resists, 40%FCR)
Gloves: Magefist (20%FCR)
Rings: 2x rare FCR rings (20%FCR)
Belt: Arachnid (20%FCR)
Shoes: Sandstrorm Trek (20%FHR)
Shield: Stormshield socketed with Ber (43%DR)
Small Charms: 6x5%FHR SC (30%FHR) + Anni
Large Charms: Druid Torch
Grand Charms: 7xEle Skillers (clean)

Total FCR = 99% (max)
Total FHR = 99% (max)
Total DR = 50% (max)
Total additional skill pts for wind synergy = 21
Attribute pts: I'd be putting points into Dex to achieve max block with SS. After which, I'd dump the rest into vitality.
Skill pts: I'd max out the 4 wind synergies, followed by Oak Sage. Remaining points may goto summons/werebear.

As you can see, I'm using 2x rare FCR rings instead of 2xSOJs. Hence, I'm worried about mana issue given that I may have to recast Cyclone armour often while spamming tornados and my Energy is only at base. I do not like the idea of having a Merc carrying Insight for mana regen so ultimately, I'd have to depend on my equipment.

If I were to use 2x SOJs, I will have to compensate the lack of FCR by getting a godly Elemental circlet (2os, +3 ele, 20%FCR) which I probably can't afford right now.

So any advice from the Windy pros?

In PvM, a merc with an Insight will solve all your mana problems. In PvP, duels generally don't last an insanely long time, and there's nothing wrong with gulping down a few mana pots.

i suggest trying to get ome lizards small charms of balance.

mana + fhr.

Don't put points in werebear since you can't cast tornado or hurricane in wereform. For PvP you only need 1 point in spirit wolves, for PvM grizzly is very good one point wonder.

Wow! Thanks for telling me. I never know that and IIRC, most guides didn't mention that. Maybe I'm too noob as a druid! :xmas17:

ele drood has 6xx-9xx mana witch is in most duels FAR to less if youre planning to duel a ES sorc or a charge hammerdin you need time and alot of tele/shoot work to kill those cause tele on a fb and blizz sorc is mostly suicide same as desynching hamma:rolleyes:

fcr: 163 = max
fhr: 174 = max (obtainable with normal gear)

stats:
str: base
dex: max block storm
vita: rest

skills:
tornado: max
cyclone armor: max
hurricane: max
twister: max
oak sage: max
summon grizly: 1 point (pvp and pvm useful)

99/99 fcr/fhr is easy to obtain

gear:
armor: enigma
helm: jalal (Shael) (only 2 types of helms for druid can achieve this fhr also and those aren't cheap!)
weapon: wizzy/hoto
gloves: magefist
boots: eth sands
belt: arach
amulet: +2 druid 19 fcr
rings: 2 soj

3* ele fhr skiller

this is not super expensive gear and is very balanced and you can own in pvp and pvm with it:)

Mana has indeed been an issue for my max block 99/99 5k/2.3k windy when dueling with casters (e.g. my Hammerdin friend). Mana can also limit how long I spam tornado during PvM and sometimes, given the near sporadic paths of nados, it can be quite frustrating.

I'm thinking of going for a vitality build using these equipment:

Helm: CoA with 2 Bers
Amulet: Rare +2 skills, 10FCR, all resists ammy
Armour: Archon Enigma
Belt: 3X/15DR Verdungo
Weapon: 40 HOTO
Rings: 2xSOJs
Boots: Treks
Gloves: Magefists
Shield: 35FCR Spirit Monarch
GC: 6xele GC
LC: DTorch
SC: Anni, life resist SC, life mana SC.

FHR: 30% from CoA, 55% from Spirit, 20% from Treks, 10% from Verdungo
FCR: 35% from Spirit, 40% from HOTO, 10% from Ammy, 20% from Magefist
DR: 31% from CoA, 8% from Enigma, 15% from Verdungo
Resists: will be maxed in Hell

Skill pts allocation is still the same (max out hurricane/nado synergies + oak sage). Attribute pts allocation will be dumping all pts into vitality after putting 10-20 pts into strength for pre-req (I don't like strength glitch).

I'm not sure if this build will improve mana and life significantly (i.e. achieving 5k life and 1k mana) and hence I don't know if this is worth getting all the expensive stuffs. Can someone who has used similar gears give some comments? Thanks!
