View Full Version : [USEast SC L] Casual play, hopefully rising to uberfigthing power

I am looking for companions to build some characters with. Eventually I want to be able to take on the uber tristram bosses with a team of helpful players. Life gets in the way of regularly sheduled slashing, I am forced to play casually at random times of the day. The gameplay will be fairly purist, untwinked unrushed players going through all quests and waypoints, but not to the extreme that we will prohibit outsider trading or playing outside of our group, for our schedule will not allow that luxury.
Because of time commitments I do not have godly items or several accounts full of mules, I try to limit the amount of characters I build to save time. I am trying to find people who have similar time restrictions, because I beleive we can accomplish more together than we can by ourselves. We will do questing, boss runs, mf, whatever we can do to best increase our chances of being able to handle ourselves in uber tristram, then hopefully we will all become strong and rich enough to fight evil with the best.
My characters:
lvl 34 cleric paladin just starting nm, I really want some companions that I can practice my healing skills on, this character is way underappreciated right now.
lvl 13 summoner necro(maybe summoner/poison necro, cant decide yet between fishymancer or skellipoisoner)
I am also condsidering starting a blizzard sorc and a smiter pally, and I am also wanting to build a char without following any premade guides at all just for the fun of it, but for now I want to stick with my cleric and my necro, mainly playing a support sole with auras or meatshield/curses.
Any characters of any level are needed, I want to get a decent sized friend list so that at least a few of us are on at various times in the day, then we can help each other imrpove their chars which should hopefully go much easier together than separately. I am looking for friednyl people, people willing to share the drops and give them to theperson who would be most helpful with the item rather than being greedy and scooping up all the good loot. I want to have a team of players mutually helping each other to upgrade their power, no leaders, nobody getting rich, no hacking lameness, just working together to become more powerful without a big time commitment.

sending, that makes 5 of us now, one of those five currently unnaware of our conspiracy but I'm confident he will play along.
I am hoping for around 16 people, since we mostly have restrictive schedules I am trying to have enough people so that at any given time at least some of us are available to play.
With so many people this might take more than a forum thread to coordinate, should we make a web page? should we make new accounts that are named after our group somehow? Should we make some mule accounts to build up a pool of items we can share? Should we all meet in a prearranged channel when we are on bnet? I have seen some sites for similar groups of people but most of them are time-commited players and we are not.
I am taking suggestions from anybody wanting to play with us, whatever you guys want I will help to make but im not gonna bother thinking of a name for our team or making web pages unless you guys want to use that stuff, the only thing that is absolutely necessary is to get a good friends list going, but I think some shared item pools would be helpful as well.
Casual play is what I live for. I've been having trouble finding people who just want to do some questing or lower level stuff. I'm quite interested in this idea. Drop me a line at *CruxVV I'd been thinking of making a cleric, but never had anyone to play with consistently enough to up him. I'm currently working on a medusazon (lvl 40) and an avenger (lvl 30). I'm quite happy with party friendly builds and would like to start using some more of them.

I have enjoyed my cleric very much so far, aside from the lack of friends to party with it has been great, I recomend building one if you enjoy the party support role. My cleric is just starting nightmare right now and can no longer solo much, after act3 normal my melee stopped being effective and I had to rely on my merc to get me through, he would die alot but I am gradually getting better at keeping him alive despite having really crappy items, I find myself picking and selling alot of staves and wands and stuff to finance this merc(act2 prayer).
The cleric is the best undead killer though, at the moment I am using mine to run the burial grounds/mosoleum in act1 and get some levels. Eventually I want to use him to provide salvation and healing for uberquests, I'm also trying to build a necro summoner with life tap for that same purpose. I figured I would focus on support until I have enough loot to build a hell-viable offensive char.
we met in game yesterday, jimmygrinn and Chirijiraden are quite friendly, this group is starting to come together quite nicely, I will give you the details in a private message soon, cooperative play hasn't been this fun for me since all my friends in the dorm were playing together. I'm enjoying the game much more now than before since I no longer play with kids who run diablo on 3 computers simultaneously and run those damn meteorb bots. We have a good group of people so far, playing for the fun of it without the item farming/rushing/hacking drama, just pure adventuring fun. Hopefully we can eventually win anihilius and hellfire charms for everybody in the group, we are nowhere near that level yet though.

Try and introduce yourself to all of these people, I will give out their account names only via private message or inside the game, all of you should know my account name so I can give you the names of any teamates you do not know yet when you whisper or PM me. We try and meet in the channel "diabloiiforum" and hang out in there whenever we are available to play. We're still coordinating characters, it would be easier to arrange characters in the chat channel. So just give everyone a whisper, gather in the chat room (we might change the name of the room we meet in later), and start playing.
The idea is co-operation until we are strong enough to handle uber bosses, then we will kill them enough times for everybody in the group to get the loot(and perhaps join up with the "ultimate quest" crew if they would have us). We are considering starting some shared item pools, and are trying to organize better ways to communicate, there really isn't any one person who is in charge(I'm only maintaining the roster), everyone is really flexible and willing to help each other.

I would love to join this group. Recently i have been working on becoming godly, but the effort doesn't seem to be worth it because I'm having less fun. I would like to play with friends more because a lot of mine arent always on.
I do have good knowledge of the game and am cruising along quite smoothly with a 81 orber sorc, 33 IK ww barb with almost full set (armor), pally in works, another sorc in works, etc. I have many items and can mf good with lvl 81. So i would enjoy a break from the hectic "power" playing.

Excellent, you appear to be our most well-equipped comrade so far. I'm looking forward to playing with you, it sounds like you will be a great help to our effort. Becoming godly should be much more fun together than solo, we are quite willing to share our items so that the party gets as strong as it can get.
I'm writing up a private message for you right now, it seems you are our highest lvl member, previously it was a lvl 80 zon. I'm really surprised how many people we've found so far, all of various levels and time commitment, we have enough for a full game now if only we could meet at the same time. With a party like the one we have going now, there can be some really fun adventures.

Well, I didn't mention it because it's a not a multiplayer build (can't handle more than 2 people in a game), but I do have a lvl 86 shock zealot with some decent gear. If things get going with my avenger, I'll probably end up taking some of the good stuff from the zealot for him.

I actually noticed that one of our "group" members has a level 87 sorceress. So that beats me so far! Earlier today i had a chance to play with some of the group and it was very fun. We did hell countess quite easily. I am going to go back on now and i hope to see some of you guys. Ill post back later.

This looks like a God send. Add me to your list of buddies. I have a lvl 23 sorc, going for meteorb build. For some reason I have already made it to Nightmare, so I am in desperate need of someone to group with, so that I can make it to lvl 30 for my first main skill (Frozon Orb).
I won't be able to get much playing done until february, since I am moving and finishing a rather big written assignment.

Hi i'm really interested tp play with you guys, i never really played much so you can consider me a noob but i enjoy playing with nice people, i find i have a hard time finding a nice group to join, i currently have a level 56 ww barb that's getting trashed in nm, and a level 16 necro that i rarely play i mostly play at nigth after my girl falls to sleep around 10 -11 est. I guess I want in as I play at odd hours and simply stand in a game with nothing to do as I'm stuck and can't dump off stuff I've found or get to the next quest.

Are you all playing west coast or east coast?
I have a level 89 palladin on east coast. We have two computers in our home, both on dsl, 2 players playing in an effort to beat the Uber bosses, we have accomplished the feat a few times, sadly, we have also lost the battle before.
We have taken a break from it to rebuild and make em better. Each of us are creating a fire sorc to enchant weapons, and a smiter pally to fight the battle.
We would be more than willing to hook up with an honest gang of individuals we could call on (and be called on) whenever we are online to drop what we are doing and enter the game and fight the good fight.
I personally already have a torch, and would still be interested in being of assistance, I am a 43 year old mom, who plays with her teenage sons, both of whom are desperatly still seeking torches and would also love to play as a team and ensure all of us ended up with a torch in the end.

I've been playing diablo for quite awhile playing mostly by myself. I would love to get together and make some diablo friends on here. Currently, working on a frenzy barb (twinked with equipment though) level 42. I'm not in nightmare yet but will be very soon. I would love to be a part of this team.
I play mostly at night.
I have high level characters that can definitely help: Level 88-89s Bowazon, Fanatic/Smiter, Summon/Poison necromancer, and a Level 78 Javazon.
I can definitely help you out with ubers with my fanatic/smiter. I fought them twice before so I do have experience with them.

Man, this group got so much bigger. Hey UnWorldly, I haven't seen you on in awhile, but to the people who play more often like Jimmy, I just want to let you guys know that I still play even though I've been gone for a bit.
While I have some fairly decent characters on Ladder currently, I do enjoy co-operative play. Many of my buddy list are not usually on, so feel free to msg me *myprincess
I do have many high lvl characters and not so many low lvls. I have played this game since forever ;D and am pretty well versed.
