how to find nithy?

i heard that u can determine which direction nithy is spawned (in the halls of vaught) by looking for some sort of marker/doodad..... but i searched the place and can't find any identifying markers....
it just would be handy so that i can be careful and slowly clear the area instead of accidently teleing right where he is and then gettting ce'ed.

This is good to know, even for a player like me who always does full clears.

Now I can take that quarter as the last one (unless I can´t destroy corpses, then I´ll take it as the second-to-last, lure out most monsters and let the game destroy most corpses while I fight in the last quarter).


What the original poster describes has never been a problem for me. Once you are close to the central "block" before Nihlathak´s lair, the 'red quest plus' shows up.
