Exile Question

i want an exile for my smiter and i currently have the runes needed to make it, however i dont have an eth shield, now is there any point in makin it in a non-eth shield or should i try n save for a low eth one, and what would a low eth one cost?

It doesn't matter if it's ethereal or not. It's the defense on it that matters. So if you have an ethereal one with 200 defense and a non-ethereal one with 250 defense, obviously go for the non-ethereal one.

Make it in an eth shield to take full advantage of the self-repair mod.

ofcourse it matters alot if the shield is eth ...assuming you have eth plain shield with 230 def after glitch in cube youll get something like 345 def and if you are lucky 4 os then your exile will have 1200+def.On the other hand with a shield with <300 def you cant reach 1000+ def on exile. If you glitch a non eth shield the same way you cant get def boost since the glitch doesnt work on noneth shields/armors

I think the idea that he is talking about a "glitched" shield isn't really non - legit. Your just eplioting a loophole in the program.

I would be more inclined to call it non-legit if you had to use an ourside program.. or do something that you would'nt normally do.. like causeing a tons of lag for duping ect..

Are you saying that if you found and ETH vortex and used the cube to socket it. Then realized that the properties had changed you would make it charsi food?

when you use the propper cube recepie it so happens that eth shield gains more def (glithced def),i really can't see a problem with that since the game allowes it, so whats non-legit about it?

Oh, what is this, a new thing? I haven't exactly been keeping up with all the latest bugs/hacks as I am retired. So you're saying that this type of "glitching" is similar to the piercing GA of .09, for example? Something that can be done because of Blizzard's bad coding?

Yes it is a new bug and blizzard seems rather unwilling to fix it just like so many others. If you play pvm or duel in public games this glitch is not a problem really. And since most legit duel tourneys disallow exile(and allow duped runes/runewords,go figure),glitched or not I don't see what is the issue.

It is an "attempt" to fix the etheral item upping bug.
