Exp loss; true or false?

Okay well, I haven't seen a thread about this but bare with me if it has been discussed any time recently.

Now, Ondal's wisdom (the 2-handed staff that gives 2-4 to all skills) gives %5 more experience to the one who uses it.

#1 Does this %5 only apply when you kill a monster yourself, or does it work similar way to annihilus and just add the experience no matter who makes the final kill (I assume it works this way).

#2 Do other people lose experience when someone uses Ondal's Wisdom?
Whenever someone's using Ondal in baalgames, some fellow expresses his opinions about it in a rather rude way. "no ondals", "omg he uses ondals" + whatever insult a bnet kid might come up with while growing up.

So is this a myth or is it in fact "stealing" experience from others.

1. It applies to all exp you gain, both from own kills and party kills.

2. It has no effect on other players, but melee characters using ondals have no way to kill, making them leechers.

So leecher does not steal xp, it would be just easier/faster for everyone if leecher helped to kill?

in a good baalrun/dia run you only need 3-4 good chars who does the killing and if you are a sorc or any other caster you can use it .....

what does it care if youre a leecher most pple dont realy care unless the run sux and need all pple to kill just search other run with better pple in it :xmas24:

I've never seen people calling these "ondal users" leechers.
You can easily fight with it and not leech, but people don't want you to use it anyways, were you doing anything or not.

It's always the same "you steal exp", or maybe I misunderstood it alltogether.

More opinions would be appreciated but thanks for these already.

2. No, i doesn´t steal from others.

I haven´t tested no. 2 with detailed tests, but in runs with 4 Ondals Users the others seemed to get the same XP. A friend of mine, who at first sight accused me for stealing XP with my Ondals, however did detailed tests and the XP for the ones not using it, would be the same. I was not in that game however, so I have to believe his words, until there is a chance ( closed run ) to test it myself.
