Heres my guide.. GL with it.. :X

Pre gear: (math mentality knowledge)

There is some things you will HAVE to have in order to be sucessful in playing this charecter. In no order at all I'll list them. You will need max damage reduction which is capped at 50% vs. players. You will need a lot of dexterity because that is Dex turns into damage with the amazon and afterall you are the underdog of D2 so you will need as much as possible. You will use WF, yes you WILL...so you will need your Ias bp which is 147%, no 146 wont reach it. You will need 150% r/w with your Titans out. You will need cannot be frozen. If you dont understand any of those percentages or nescesities you will when this is over.

Gear:

So everyone thinks that gear makes the charecter, in your eyes if you are new to Amazons I'm sure you think that so I'll put my mind in a state of ''gear owns all not skill'' but by the time you finish this guide you will be in my normal view of Amazons which is ''skill''

Helmet: Shako or 120/45 OR Gaze.. I recommend a umed Shako but its up to you.

You have a couple options, Gaze, Shako, 120/45. Gaze will give you more DR allowing you to use a different belt rather than Verdungos, however without using verdungos you will lack in 40 vita which calculated is 120 life lost. Ill get to 120/45 in a minute and crop some things from my old guide to explain this all but for now ill give why shako owns. The +2 skills you are going to get are VERY useful which is quite self explanitory. The life is unbeatable by any other helmet. The DR is just as good as any other because youll hit your BP for DR once this build is finished. The mana will help you because in long duels especially BM ones if needed the mana will run out. Now heres my point, I had the choice...I could have bought the best 120/45 out there. That is a 120/45 tiara with 30 r/w on it. The r/w is useless because if calculated properly with needing 150 r/w in my opinion to be sucessful you will use 320/5 r/w scs. Using the 120/45 means you can take 6 320/5s out of your stash and replace them with 6 32020s..in other words you gain 120 life...the 30 r/w turns into 120 life. Or I could have bought the glitched shako I use...I chose the shako. DR, Life, Skills > Dmg. You dont gain that much more dmg with 120/45. The shako will be socketed with a 40/15 Ias Jewel

Amulet: Cats Eye

The dex is amazing, the IAS is needed for the BP of 8 frames per second on windforce which Ill explain later and the 30 r/w once again turns into 120 life. Any other amulet at all is just foolish.

Boots: War Travelers

They look quite *** but that little 10-25 damage really turns into 100-200+ damage when using windforce. Tons of people use soul spurs or other resist boots which I feel is impotent as hell. You will die in 2 elemental attacks regardless of your resist. So why choose resist boots over boots that give SO MUCH DAMN DAMAGE plus life and strg which can be turned into dex if your zon is built correctly.

Belt: Verdungos or Spider..

Cry?

Ring 1: Raven Frost

This ring will not only give you more damage and mana but will help you from cannot be frozen, there is NOTHING else you could do with my build that would ruin either a BP or something needed on the zon with putting CBF somewhere else rather than from the ring.

Ring 2: Dual stat rare or crafted

2 Ravens would be pointless, the best is a 20/15 stat ring, 20 strg, 15 dex..this ring is going to be pretty much your dmg ring, look for other mods that can help you like RES or mana or even MF who cares...try to be different.

Bow:Windforce OR Faith

1.08 style, this bow gets AMAZING results perf lvl and simply can not bet ****ed with. Alot of people tend to use a 7 frames per second bow like mat bow which once again is dumb. In ZVZ (Zon vs Zon) duels as will be noted later on the goal is to shoot very few arrows and run away and set up again shoot little bit run away etc...why would you need 7fps if youre doing that? Serves no purpose right? Wf > ALL, 7.5k dmg > 3k (this bow is socketed with a 40/15 ias jewel)
Faith gives fanat for great results and tons of damage.. its up to you.. I recommend Faith for non ladder chars.

Armor: 160/60 Ias or Fortitude.. its basically up to you.

I have done A LOT of math on armors and have found out that most people who cant afford unshop or light armor lifers go out and buy an 80+ life shoppable heavy armor, this is the biggest mistake ever, using a plain archon is better. Just because you have a heavy lifer means you lose run walk which as I pointed out above takes away from using 320 20s, with heavy armor youd have to take easily 6 320 20s out of your stash and replace them with 320 5s just so you can equal out the r/w to a light armor. Meaning you would lose 120 life for a 80+ life armor.....in other words using a 80+ life heavy armor actually means you lose 120+ life....kinda ***. To anyone who cant afford light armor lifer, go with a plain archon or any light armor over a heavy armor.

Gloves:

Use +2 Passive or Bow skill gloves with 20 ias and some other stat mod like dex or strg, I feel this is quite simple. If you are really cant find them then go with gales, anything else is just stupid or BM (Bad manners in priv games like amapk///1 and zvz//gm you will prolly be yelled at and laughed at for using gloves like draculs)

On switch you will need titans (eth upped mainly) and -15/40 ed/req ss. The titans save your *** from life by the run walk you have and the s/s is self explained. using cta is foolish and lacks in major mods titans give, also BO in pro zon duels is BM and doesnt really add much life. Life is **** on a zon...

Charms, you need to hit 150 run walk WITH TITANS, so for this build use exactly 13 320/5s. use 1 anni, and 1 fire damage sc so you can stun enemies, the rest of the charms are 320/20s. get a amazon hellfire as well .. p for best results :)

Stats:

Your strength serves no purpose, the only purpose it serves is it allows you to make your bow invisible if done correctly. As long as you cannot use windforce without a charm in your stash which gives stregnth (in our case this would be anni) then it will be invisble. Do the math on how much strg you will need to put into your char to hit the strg needed for wf. No other points will be needed for this, it does nothing for you.

Dexterity is what you will get your damage from. Every point you get will go into this minus what goes into strength. Each point is 1% e.d to your bow. As I repeat, EVERY spare point will go into Dex. (read below why)

Vitality, although tempting will not do anything for you. Lets do a quick flashback, I want you to think of every char you have ever made PvP and think of every duel youve ever been hit in, think of your life orb. Im sure that you have never lasted past 4 of your enemies attacks without dying. For the amazon you will always have low life. Putting some into vitality would be a waste. You will die 1 to 4 attacks ALWAYS. The points you put into vitality I'm sure will not save you in a duel. Maybe it will once in a million duels but not enough to risk putting points into it.

Mana, no this isnt your first charecter..g..g?

Skills:

20 guided
20 critical
12 into multi <- youll still shoot 19-21 arrows with my build
1 into strafe
1 into Lbolt <- you do MAD light dmg VS zons and other classes with 1 pt into this, its a life saver
1 into jab, <- will save you when youre slowed
1 into penetrate
1 into pierce
1 into slow missiles
1 into inner sight
1 into valk
1 into decoy
20 into avoid
20 into evade
rest go into dodge, <- you dont need alot of dodge, melee will **** you up either way.

Now lets talk about gameplay vs. other chars and how to win. I used to be a pothead..I would sit there smoke bowls and play with my zon and try and find new ways to win. The best way to learn how to win isnt by trying but by examining what you have to deal with. ZvZ ( amazon vs. amazon) is a whole different class then ZvA (amazon vs. all). That being said since the difference is so great I'll examine the ZvA part first and then do a different section for those who want to be pro ZvZ.

First off is the basics, in any duel whatsoever, start off with your shield out while preparing before the go sounds. This will make you not only move faster but will protect you from jumpers or anything negative displayed in the game. Always let your opponent say go first so you can take a brief second to get your bow out. Starting with your bow out I feel lets you get a sense of direction of where your enemy is before making any sudden crucial moves that can get you spotted. You can set up your hotkeys however you would like, personally I tried to keep MS, GA, weap switch, and run/walk all next to each other. Youre prolly saying ''why run/walk'' Ill explain that later on in the secrets. Back to the game, always be comfortable with your amazon, dont get nervous just because youll die easily. Use it to your advantage. Let the enemy think ''oh this is a bowa itll die fast'' and then suprise his ***. You have two ways of battle, the one I use on 90% of the classes which is stealth, and then you have offensive playing which is obviously staying closer to your enemy. Depending on which class you are dueling will debate on which stance to use. On with the specifics of winning.

ZvA Techniques and strategies

I'll start off with every class seperate. (if I dont list a class, that means either its to easy to beat or theres not enough of them around for me to worry about typing a strat on. If you are curious though just ask)

Druid:

Elemental, This can be a problem if you dont know what you are doing. The first thing ima say is, take a deep breath before starting the match. Distance is the key, if they cant reach you they cant hurt you. Now these cocky players like to teleport around with an army of chinese food (dog meat). This can be a problem, you shouldnt be worried about hitting the druid but more worried about killing those puppies before the druid gets to close. This requires multi, strafe is good to but multi will help because strafe can miss the puppies if the druid teles, with multi theres so many your bound to hit at least 2 of them. Always have your shield out when you are not shooting, I cannot stress that enough. The standard duel will be something along the lines of this...Start off with shield, get distance before saying go. when you see the druid begin wailing multi in his direction. as soon as you get like 3-4 sets of multi out no matter even if hes still far away put your shield back on and begin running, chances are hes prolly already near you. Once you have distance do the same thing with multi until his pups are gone, do it as much as needed, patience is a virtue remember. Once they are gone depending on how much distance you have if great enough shoot 3-5 guideds at him and if he doesnt die then run more with shield out and repeat. Druids are learning to take off once there pups are gone to reload them. In this case just become a little more dominant on him.

Rabies, These can hurt you, badly. The goal is dont get hit. You can take them down with distance just dont get hit. Learn your own strategy for every map in D2 of where to position yourself and where to go when on defensive. Lucky enough there isnt many on the realm so a caution really doesnt need to be taken ( just be smarter then the druid).

Sorceress:

Fire, as near always distance is everything. These guys go down easy, if they get close enough run...but 3 arrows tops and theyll go down.

Cold: blizz and orb, now this is easy. Find a spot dont move and shoot everywhere until you either see your mana leech go off on your zon or until you see the actual sorc, just keep on her *** of where shes going and try to shoot a little further off of where shes teleing so that shell tele into the arrows. if they get close do not move just keep shooting, youll dodge a lot more than youll get hit trust me.

Light: same as fire sorc.

Necromancer:

Boner, These guys can either be an easy target or a nightmare. Ones who use mass boneprision can **** you up. In any case try to keep your distance from them, 2 arrows and that bone armor is off, 2 more arrows and that necro is dead. These guys are fun to duel just always keep them guessing.

Psnmancer, just like blizz and orb nova has a rare chance of hitting you. Get cocky on these guys...remember one nova wont kill although youll have 1 life, so try your hardest to hit these guys with all you got. But in all honesty psn necs are a joke vs zons.

Summoner: Bm = ***....just use mass multi and strafe and then if you cant win use BM tactics. Ill explain those later.

Barbarian:

GG FOOL. dont even try these guys, call your boys.

Assassin:

Trapper, these girls are a joke, although 1 sentry will hit you. You have two options, the most common is the trapper who lays traps and stands there, just get distance so they dont hit you, and shoot towards where the trapper is. Make sure you shoot some around him to so when he clicks his assn he will get hit by the other stray ones. The offensive assns are a lil harder, just always keep them behind you and run in zig zags, taking breaks to shoot. Youll learn quickly.

WWsin, stand far away, when they approach you just give them all you have, when you see them tele put shield out and run away...then go back to bow because most sins take some time to configure so while they do that just give them everything you got. If worse comes to worst jab them a bit.

Paladin:

Zealer, use Lbolt if hes Zeal vs Zeal, or just kill him from a far because they run slow, charge cant hit if they cant click. :) Chargers or res pallys are harder but with distance anything is possible.

Hammerdin, they have to tele on you...dont let them..

FoH, ezpk if foh doesnt hit then youre good, so kids what do we do? thats right good job...dont let foh hit.

Ok now we got the amazon versus the amazon. Charged strike can be simple, as long as you can out run them, they cant hit you. With distance in mind these girls go down easily. Vs. CS ALWAYS stay on foot until you are sure you can get them without being hit.

And here it is guys, ZvZ...

This is my way of zon vs zon, I am defensive and tactictal as all hell, most amazons are offensive which after studying this guide will teach you that defensive > offensive in 90% of the cases. If you ask around, 90% of the time I win the opponent doesnt even see me on the screen. I work a lot on IGA, right before I quit I feel I had it down perfectly. IGA is Invisible Guided Arrow. In order to make this work your enemy must be off of your map, yes arrows do travel beyond the map limit. To do this may take a little bit of time but is definently worth it. When a duel begins you have one side and the other zon has the other. As soon as the match begins, begin spamming arrows in every direction of where your enemy could be on the other side. You can do it until the mana leech signal glows and that gives you an idea of where they are so you can make the kill, OR if you find yourself shooting for to long you may be in the middle of stealth, your opponent could be creeping on you, in this case try the opposite side. Never run directly at your enemy, always keep trails on him as if someone was actually chasing you with a bow, you dont have to run for your life but run to the point where you are comfortable to set up another series of shot. Standing at medium distance (when oponent is on the map) spamming MASS arrows will get you killed, always mix it up with a little bit of this and that, if your enemy is in mid distance always toss some MS towards him and then go back to the GA, if your enemy gets very close you have the choose of running or using your LBolt on him. Always remember when you are not shooting you have your shield out, get used to it. Some secrets for escaping a either namelocked shot or just a good series of hits is to put your shield on and put walk on, the secret in ZvZ not a lot of people know is that if you run with a shield on you lose DR and your dodges, however if you are walking with your shield out not only do you gain all your DR back like how it should be normally but you also go most of your dodges back to there peaks. This allows you to take massive more arrows then if you were running, try it with your friends :). Another secret is called cornering. This is like AA only done legit. Sit back and look at your monitor from a distance, you have 4 corners, now think of a + sign, the goal is to take the corners of your screen and make them into directions like up down left and right, to do this you need to get your enemy on the screen but in your corner. It sounds complicated but with using the + sign and the corners youll learn where you have to move in order to corner them. If you get them in the corner, (they dont even have to be on your screen just in the corner you are shooting from) and place your arrow all the way in that corner and shoot, arrows should follow them all the time until they run to where that direction would be (up down left right) practice makes perfect. LBolt is very useful in zon duels always remember zons have no res so that light dmg hurts like hell.

BM Tactics:

To be good at BM you must know what you are doing in all cases. BMing works the same with every char. First off you will Need scroll, aa is *** dont use it. To become good with scroll you must learn where to scroll to and how. The best way to BM is offscreen positioned well IGAs, to do this without getting killed making the duel game is easier because it gives you more time to set up. Make the game, run out to the battle field, run straight out. put scroll on, scroll up to town, if you can see town clearly where the bridge ends and moor begins then you are to close, walk until the end of the bridge where moor begins turns black. When it does you are ready for IGA towards town. Let people host you, click right below the black (so like right in the begining of moor) anyone near the end of town will see moor as clear as day not knowing 120 arrows are ready to be pounded in there asses. You can just sit there and Pwn everyone because once they die they wont get there bods unless they rejoin, just keep an eye out for people coming from CP. Remember you also have slow missiles, tps come in handy too..but tps, scroll, SM, = gg whole pub game.

****, that took long. If I left anything out just ask wehter it be GM or BM related....zzzzz.

Right off the bat as I was reading your guide I noticed that you said it is a must to have 50% dr and a Wf. But in your guide you mention in the bow section that you could have a wf or a faith and then recommend faith to nl characters. How are you supposed to get 50 dr unless you have Ss on switch which most zons don't. Maybe it would be better to point out that those things are a good way to start out or should be kept in mind when choosing gear selections.

Also, the use of hacked and glitched items are used in this guide to an extreme amount. I dont mind people saying they use 120/45 and 3/20/20s but then you started getting into glitched shakos?

Last thing, after i briefly read your guide I noticed some of your explinations were kind of childish.

Belt: Verdungos or Spider..

These are just some things I noticed and I'm sorry if I am coming out to be an @$$ but these are just my opinions.

I hope everyone found this funny

Trapper, these girls are a joke, although 1 sentry will hit you.If they can kill you in one hit, why are they a "joke"?

i really don't see how you manage to hit 8 frame attack with a wf, you just haven't explained the gear to do that. surely it should be wf on nl and faith on ladder? the reason people use faith MB is because it allows them to use ias and dr gear instead of just putting everything on ias. i've seen a few people use dream as a helm, what's your opinion on using that?
